You might be slightly confused by the title, it’s not literal, however U.K Hip-Hop artist Jaja Soze has spoken to Atlanta-based interviewer pinkCookiz, and as part of her “Cookibox” project has “crushed” Jaja Soze in a brand new five-minute text interview. Hip-Hop Kings readers will be familiar with the Cookibox project after pinkCookiz interviewed Havoc from Mobb Deep in May 2010. CookiBOX – Ooooowww what’s the deal Jaja? Man thank you for a bit of your time, you know. I’ve been trying to connect with you for a minute. Tell the readers who you are and what you do baby!

Jaja Soze – Hey what’s up, my name is Jaja Soze, and I’m a controversial hip-hop artist from London, UK.

CookiBOX – So far, what’s the greatest challenge that you’re facing in the entertainment business?

Jaja Soze – Because I came into music from the whole gang/street culture there has been a block on my music within the UK industry, after years of pushing my music I’m only now getting played on radio even though I have a good fan base.

CookiBOX – I’ve listened to some of your music and it seems like you lean toward a lot of soulful Hip-Hop type beats. Real fly! Give me two of your favourite producers and their songs.

Jaja Soze – To be honest I’m not a {I’ve got a favourite kind of person} I love music that has a soulful feel to it that makes you jus want to start writing down some real feelings that’s my vibe right there and I love acoustic.

CookiBOX – Yea, let’s talk about Real Talk, Hip-Hop King. Who produced that and what’s the main concept of the track?

Jaja Soze – That was produced by a guy called Smooth from anti social productions, and the concept is jus me speaking out loud of which I do a lot of, lol its like what you see is what you get, I am what I am type thing.

CookiBOX – You rep ya hood! London style, this is crazy! LOL please tell us U.S. side Hip-Hop heads what’s going on over there with the culture.

Jaja Soze – Yeah we’ve been reppin’ London probably like a new version of New York in the 80s – the music culture is a big thing over here especially in South London we take our rap music as a lifestyle it is what it is, and don’t believe the hype there’s no biscuits and tea round here!

CookiBOX – I always ask people who their influences are but now I wanna know what influences you as an over all artist?

Jaja Soze – My life and journey is influenced by feeling socially excluded, and I learn from and express my opinions via the social issues I’m surrounded by on a daily basis.

CookiBOX – What’s the formula of PDC? Where can we find you online?

Jaja Soze – The formula of PDC is we Pray Days Change we go from negative to positive. You can catch us at www.pdcent.com

CookiBOX – When are you coming to NYC and bring The R-man with you! LOL Any touring in the future? Anything we should be looking out for?

Jaja Soze – I jus came back from Atlanta I got a production situation going on with Kaneck music and Antony Dent, so my next stop is New York and you can show me round the place.

CookiBOX – You know it baby! It’s a date; we’ll ride the Double Decker bus and eat pizza! LOL Before we head out, I gotta ask yo, lol does the whole city like, really shut down for tea? Lol I need to move!

Jaja Soze – Lol I know you didn’t jus ask me that lol no way that’s some posh shit you need to come visit the real London lol

CookiBOX – LOL! Yes I did!! Yo, it was fun, I’ll see you soon and again Ja, thanks for getting with me. Any last words?

Jaja Soze – Thanks for having me, holla at me on twitter.com/jajapdc – peace
