The creator from the Fox television hit series Glee has revealed that he tried to get the rights to cover Eminem‘s “Lose Yourself” on the show.
Glee has already covered songs such as Cee-Lo Green’s hit “Fuck You” and Jay-Z’s “Empire State Of Mind”, and in return propelling the original singles in the charts. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Glee creator Ryan Murphy said that the legal rights to “Lose Yourself” from Aftermath Entertainment would cost $200,000.
“We couldn’t do it because the episode would’ve been so over budget,” Murphy said.
