Welcome back film fans! What a past couple of weeks its been here at HHKMovies with the announcement of a Batman/Superman movie crossover for 2015. It’s not only us who are wondering who’d don the cowl of The Dark Knight, but it has got our curious cogs turning as to how this is going to open up a Warner Bros. DC Comics Universe!
Now. For the money shot. Who’s in our Top 5 for Gotham’s favourite vigilante?
5. Sam Worthington
Sam Worthington has already staked his claim in blockbuster Avatar and toilet worthy Clash of the Titans. He’s had his share of good and bad projects but he’s worthy of getting behind to play Bruce Wayne.
4. Alexander Skarsgard
Resident bad ass vampire of the series True Blood, Skarsgard has shown he can play dark if the mood calls for it. It’s got to be in the genes as his dad is Stellan Skarsgard, so he’s got to have learnt something from dad.
3. Charlie Hunnam
One of the stars of Sons of Anarchy, Hunnam proved his worth in blood, sweat and chopper action scenes(which would come in handy) for FOX’s crime drama. With more grit than the council’s winter road budget he can definitely fill those boots.
2. Aaron Taylor-Johnson
It was a very close call between Johnson and the guy below filling the Number 1 spot. Johnson appeared on our screens to play DIY superhero Kick-Ass and more recently a eco-drug supplier(not a dealer apparently). He’s got everything needed to throw a Batarang and has enough years ahead of him to create a new post-Nolan Batman that can incorporate new plots and possibly the Justice League?
1. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
The man that Christian Bale left the legacy of Batman to with the knowledge that he could protect those that needed him. That’s why this guy is Number 1 on my list. You can’t just forget what Christopher Nolan created and regard it as “standalone” against the DC Universe. I sincerely hope they can introduce Levitt as The Dark Knight, yes he’s not Bruce Wayne but I’m hopeful those whizz kids in the writers lounge can find a way around this. If not, will there be any hope for Gotham City?
That’s my breakdown and I know some people won’t agree with me that’s why we have our HHKMag Facebook page and our Twitter @HHKMag where you can go bitch, disagree or tell us this list is one of the better ones! Just make sure you use hashtag #whowillbebatman when you do it anyway…..
