Jay-Z & Kanye’s Relationship Reportedly on the Rocks [News]

Stuart Hallick • August 1, 2011 • Comments (1)

It’s been rumoured that tension is rising in the Jay-Z and Kanye West, The Throne, camp.

The word is out that Kanye and Jay-Z are at odds with each other just days before the release of their highly anticipated “Watch the Throne” album.

Neither party has addressed rumors that they have been arguing, but insiders are revealing that “Jay-Z can’t deal with Kanye.”

“Jay is a stone cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation. But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn’t care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows.”

It seems the negotiations about the tour plans have torn the talented artists apart. Hopefully they can patch things up before hitting the road for their tour.

Props to Jamzone Media for the news.

J. Cole Says He’s No Longer Putting Out A Mixtape, But Will Release Several Songs Prior To His Album Release [News]

Stuart Hallick • July 27, 2011 • Comments (0)

J. Cole has revealed that he will no longer be releasing a new mixtape, but will instead leak a number of songs prior to the release of “Cole World: The Sidelne Story”.

Initially J. Cole planned to drop a new mixtape before the release of his debut album, but he has now changed his plans. Instead he will release the songs that would have been on the mixtape before the release of “Cole World: The Sideline Story”.

The reason behind the move was primarily because of how close the dates of the release dates for the mixtape and album would have been. He spoke exclusively to Hartford, Connecticut’s HOT 93.7.

“I’m not gonna put out a mixtape,” said Cole. “I just decided this, but the music I was gonna put on the mixtape I’mma just slowly drop it. I’ll just drop it out online and they’ll find it. You know, my fans will find it how they will. I’m confident. I don’t wanna run and drop a mixtape. I don’t want people to get confused with that. I don’t want them to love it, because they’ll love it. If I put out a mixtape they’re gonna love it cause I don’t know how to put out a bad mixtape. That’s the problem. So I don’t want them to fall in love too much and them my album comes four weeks later, five weeks later. We only eight weeks out. That’s not a long time. I’ll be giving them songs in the meantime so it’s cool.”

Although the album release date is approaching, J. Cole reveals that he is still waiting on a verse from Jay-Z.

“I haven’t even heard his verse. He [Jay-Z] got five days to turn that in,” Cole explained. “I don’t know if I like need to change my verse yet or not. If he tries to kill me then I’mma change my verse. Yea, I’m not going out like that. The hook is on there and everything so he’ll get it.”

Cole World: The Sideline Story will be released on 27th September.

Game – Pot Of Gold Feat. Chris Brown [Video]

Stuart Hallick • July 27, 2011 • Comments (0)

After Game stirs up some controversy with his “Uncle Otis” joint aimed at Jay-Z, he now hooks up with Chris Brown for the track “Pot Of Gold” from the R.E.D. Album.

About Game from Wikipedia.

Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name Game, formerly The Game, is an American rapper and actor. As a member of G-Unit, he rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, which earned him two Grammy Award nominations. Followed by two more successful albums his second album Doctor’s Advocate in 2006, and his third album LAX in 2008. Game also runs his own record label The Black Wall Street Records. Since then, he is considered to be a driving force in reviving and bringing back the West Coast Hip-Hop scene, which had been overshadowed by artists from the East and South.

It was confirmed in May 2009 that Game began working on a new album. On June 26, 2009 Game released a song titled “Better on the Other Side” a Michael Jackson tribute, the day after Jackson’s death. It features Diddy, Mario Winans, Chris Brown, Usher & Boys II Men. On October 3, 2009, Snoop Dogg posted a picture on his Twitter of himself, Dr. Dre and Game in the studio working together, The picture was taken a day earlier and it marked the first time Game had worked with Dr. Dre for some years since the beef with former fellow G-Unit labelmate 50 Cent caused him to release his two following albums on Geffen Records. Later in early January 2010 Game posted a twitpic of him wearing a lot of Aftermath chains with a caption saying “It’s funny how things come Full Circle”. Later he confirmed that he had returned to Aftermath Entertainment. On June 3, 2011, Pitchfork Media announced that Game is working with Odd Future leader Tyler, The Creator on a track called “Martians vs. Goblins”.
