Following the news that Wu-Tang Clan member RZA has directed the upcoming movie “The Man With The Iron Fists”, I can now reveal we have an official release date for the soundtrack, and the confirmed track listing for the soundtrack too. October 23rd 2012 will be the release of the official soundtrack, which features Kanye West, Pusha T, Freddie Gibbs, The Wu-Tang Clan, Black Keys and others. The sixteen track project will be released via Soul Temple Records/STAX/RED Distribution, and will accompany the release of the official movie which hits cinemas on 2nd November 2012. If there was anything as big as the Slaughterhouse album this year, we’ve probably found it in the new joint project between Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block titled “Wu Block”. The two legendary Hip-Hop groups have joined forces to release Wu Block in the UK on 8th October 2012, and the likes of Ghostface Killah, Sheek Louch, Method Man, Raekwon The Chef, GZA, Jadakiss, Masta Killah, and Styles P all feature. The first official single “Union Square”, features Ghostface Killah and Sheek Louch and is available to download on the iTunes link above. I have news that the next single will be called “Stick ‘em Up”, featuring Sheek Louch, Ghostface Killah and Jadakiss. You can listen to “Union Square” on the soundcloud player below.

The former members of legendary West Coast Hip-Hop group “The Pharcyde” have today announced they will be touring the U.S, U.K and Europe following the 20th anniversary, and re-release of their classic “Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde”. Originally released in 1992, the likes of Fatlip and Slimkid3 have also re-joined forces with Bizarre Ride producers J-Sw!ft and L.A. Jay for “Bizarre Ride Live” the name of the show which will be performed to fans across the world. The tour begins on August 3 date at Low End Theory in San Francisco, CA and an in-store August 4 at Amoeba Records in Berkeley. In one of the biggest Hip-Hop concerts expected this year, Mean Fiddler present Wu Legends featuting Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and GZA live in Manchcester on Saturday 14th July. The HMV Ritz will be host to the four Hip-Hop legends, who will be playing old AND new music, and return to Manchester after a sell-out event last year at The Academy. All signs are pointing towards another sell-out show, so please grab your tickets while they’re still available from the link above. A brand new British film titled “Offender” will be in cinemas on August 8th 2012, and features appearances from the likes of English Frank and Mic Righteous amongst others. I recently visited Revolver Studios to speak to English Frank about the upcoming movie, and his role as character Jake. Mic Righteous, G Fresh and Scorcher also play parts alongside the main lead Joe Cole.
