In collaboration with Red Bull. DJ Yoda will be running a brand new competition to give 24 aspiring DJ’s the chance to be crowned the “Red Bull Thre3style Champion”. A host of judges will be selecting the best ten-minute auditions and alongside a Red Bull Thre3style crowd, entrants must blend a minimum of three genres of music. A list of venues and dates are bullet-pointed below, and the winner will receive time in the Red Bull studio, and a cheque for £1000 with all expenses paid to the birthplace of Red Bull Thre3style, Vancouver. To enter, please email redbullthre3style@uk.redbull.com, and all DJ’s will have to play off the same setup (2x decks and a mixer). Mobb Deep Announce Deal with Red Distribution
It was announced on Friday that legendary Hip-Hop duo Mobb Deep have agreed a distribution deal with “Red Distribution” who are a division of Sony, for their imprint Infamous Records. The agreement includes Mobb Deep running the NYC based label, along with Mobb Deep’s forthcoming NINTH studio album amongst others being released through Red Distribution. Bob Morelli (president of Red) was quoted “Mobb Deep is an iconic act, having been on the cutting edge of music and social commentary for years. We are happy and excited to distribute the next chapter in their musical career.” Look out for new news and music coming from Mobb Deep in the forthcoming weeks.

Following the news that Hip-Hop Kings reported in July that Snoop Dogg will be touring the U.K this October, we’ve learned that Canadian based “The Airplane Boys” and U.K artist Chipmunk will be supporting the Hip-Hop legend. Snoop Dogg will be blessing fans in Liverpool, London, Cardiff and Glasgow from 6th October – 9th October, and The Airplane Boys (Beck Motley and Bon Voyage) will have the opportunity to perform to a brand new audience. Chipmunk requires no introduction, with his hit “Champion” with Chris Brown once again dominating the U.K charts. Jay-Z & Kanye’s Relationship Reportedly on the Rocks [News]
It’s been rumoured that tension is rising in the Jay-Z and Kanye West, The Throne, camp.
The word is out that Kanye and Jay-Z are at odds with each other just days before the release of their highly anticipated “Watch the Throne” album.
Neither party has addressed rumors that they have been arguing, but insiders are revealing that “Jay-Z can’t deal with Kanye.”
“Jay is a stone cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation. But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn’t care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows.”
It seems the negotiations about the tour plans have torn the talented artists apart. Hopefully they can patch things up before hitting the road for their tour.
