Talib Kweli Prepares New Album Gutter Rainbows [Upcoming Releases]
Hip-Hop star Talib Kweli will be releasing a brand new album titled “Gutter Rainbows” which yet has no official release date. Talib Kweli was speaking to XXL Mag, and stated that J.D Salinger’s novel “The Catcher In The Rye” was the inspiration for the title.
“The character actually says ‘gasoline rainbows’ in the book. I was like, ‘Wow.’ I’ve always wanted to call a song ‘Gutter Rainbows’—just because of the rainbows that you see when the oil and the water mix in the gutter—and do a song based on that. But that reference—him noticing the gasoline rainbows in New York City, and just the character’s love for New York City—are what attracted to me to that phrase”.
I’ll be posting any leaked tracks and further news ahead of the Talib Kweli album ahead of the release. Thanks to Sumit @ TheHipHopChronicle

Ja Rule Prepares The Renaissance Project [Upcoming Releases]
Former Murder Inc frontman Ja Rule is getting ready to release his newest album The Renaissance Project.
Ja Rule was initially going to name his new album Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, but has now changed his mind on the name and the direction of the album.
The rapper explains his reasons with an exclusive video with MTV and XXL.
“I changed the name of my album from Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, first of all, Venni Vetti Vecci was my baby; that was my first album,” explained Ja regarding the title change. “You can never duplicate that era in time. That was my whole life’s work in that album up until that time.”
Ja Rule then explained that a trip overseas gave him some perspective about the direction of his next album. “And then number two, I went to Africa, it took on a hold of me, when I was doing my album and the whole project, what I was going through right now, with the new beginning, I’m not with Murder Inc. anymore, but they’re still the family. I’m on my own venture, so it was a sign of a new beginning, new ambitions, new everything. They built this statue out there, it’s called The Renaissance, and it’s a statue of a man holding his baby on his shoulders with his wife in his arms, pointing to the heavens. To me, it just symbolized what I’m about right now and just the word, fresh start, I said that’s what I want to call my project, The Renaissance Project and it represents what I’m about…”
