I write to escape the real world of horror//
I write in the hope my words will reach tomorrow//
I write so I don’t go all out crazy//
I write so people know Bush is Shady//*
I write for those without the ability//
I write to those not as ill as me//
I write because life is demeaning//
I write still more for those who consider leaving//
I write till my pen cuts my hands//
I write when nobody else takes stands//
I write though my pain and grief//
I write so I may turn over a new leaf//
I write while there is war killing civilians//
I write to save Africa’s hungry millions//
I write in the hope I will change the world//
I write to show my love for this special girl//
I write because the system betrayed us//
I write for those who tried to save us//
I write because I’m scarred by rejections//
I write till Death makes his final collections//
And in heaven, I shall ask for paper….
