that said, dwayne wade is better than just the best player in the playoffs. im not sure you know exactly how good he is. expecially last year, he was overshadowed by lebron james (and i was quoted for saying i would have taken either james or wade first overall, i was a wade fan when he was in marquette). POINT IS, HERE ARE HIS ROUND 2 NUMBERS (ahem):

7 rebounds. from a shooting guard. come on dude. i hate people who say "so-and-so is the next michael jordan." this guy is the next michael jordan. when the shaq trade was buzzing last summer, i was praying it wasnt gonna be shaq for wade straight up. i was sad to see caron and lamar go, but eh, w/e. but if i was the miami GM, shaq for wade wouldnt have flown, even if 80% of the nation wouldve signed that in a minute.

shaq aint so much to miami skillwize. this explosion was coming anyway. and dont get me wrong, they wouldnt be as dominant without him at all. he brings a confidence and team support that they desperately need, as well as a good paint presence. but hes been off since the start of the playoffs, and they just keep getting better.

but the thing is shaq doesnt have to take both wallaces. rasheed, who is pretty mobile for a big man, will have to drop to double d.wade when he is slashing. chauncey cant drop because that would leave damon open for the three, which is automatic like a minivan. they better not zone it up either or theyll be fucked both ways.

best bet is to have ben on shaq tight, with rip guarding d.wade and rasheed helping out. if they break into a zone, wade will terrorize them.

uhm to everyone who thinks the Heat dont have a match up for the Pistons..

Shaq may not be full health and he may be getting up there in age.. but hes dropped alot of weight hes become more mobile.. hes still dominated anyone thats gotten in his way(most dont anymore) hes even improved his freethrow shooting. and he doesnt even have to score alot of points in a playoff game.. cuz everyone knows how big of a threat he is they have to double/triple him almost every trip down the court.. which is why they call him the best passing big man in the league.. cuz dude gets mad with his moving the ball when they drop on him. thats why Dwayne Wade looks 10x better than hes ever looked (hes always been a good player).. because now hes got a dude down in the middle drawing everyone away so he does his cuts and bam easy 2 for mr wade.

as for when Shaq goes out of the game.. who comes in? THE ZO.. Alonzo Mourning has been doing this for years!! YEARS kids. dude has won defensive playe of the year how many times now? huH? Big Ben aint the only guy that can block shots.. he better not even think about taking that shit in on Alonzo cuz Zo is lookin DAMN good in the playoffs this year.

The main thing Shaq done for the heat.. was bring a swagger and confidence.. much like Rasheed Wallace did for the Pistons.. Rasheed is the Pistons mouth.. Shaq is the Heats decoy.. they are alot alike in that way. Thats why if you ask 90% of the people that truly follow the sport and know something they will tell you Shaq is the leader of the Heat and Rasheed is the leader of the Pistons. They each elevated the team they came too.. thats what a leader does.

Quite frankly the Heat and Pistons games will probably be the best of the playoffs.. outside of the chance of a Suns vs Pistons matchup.

Spurs had there hands full with the Sonics who were missing there big star.. Suns aint missin there big star.. they are missing a key player but not there allstar.. they aint missing Amare or Nash.. and comparing those guns is pointless.. Suns over Spurs in 6.

Heat Pistons will more than likely go a full 7 games.. no telling whos going to come out on top.

basically the only real solid odds right now are for the Suns to be in the Championship Game. Will they take it? it depends on which team from the east they face.. Van Gundy and Larry Brown are both excellent coaches.. and each will know how to slow down the Suns.. i dont see Popavich coming up with a gameplan to take out all of the Suns weapons although Duncan and Ginobli will more than likely keep the Spurs in the games.. dont look for Parker to keep em in.. his ego is going to get crushed when he trys to guard Steve Nash.
