Today stevie G put in a transfer request saying that he wants to leave.

Gerrard also issued a statement which said: "This has been the hardest decision I have ever had to make."

He told Sky Sports: "I fully intended to sign a new contract after the Champions League final, but the events of the past five to six weeks have changed all that.

"I have too much respect for the club and people at it to get involved in a slagging match."

I reckon that he will go to chelsea as he really wants to win the premiership chelsea had already today had a £32 million bid declined. I reckon this could go in to £40 million area.

How will liverpool replace a player like Gerrard as he is one of the best midfielders in the world

Dont be stupid. He'll go to Madrid, he'll get more money. Because

1) Their tax laws mean he'll be taking home around £160,000
2) If Chelsea offer £120,000, they will have to up Frank Lampard and JT's contracts to the same as they have a clause in their contract which allows them to be amongst the highest paid at the club.
