Seen this a few weeks ago. I thought it was a bunch of bullshit.
I was with my girl, she jumped at certain points, then burst out laughing, cause the film was fuckin stupid.
Dissappointment,

it was a disapointment.... my wife liked it but i found it too predictable.. along with the fact that it was overly funny in spots. i wasnt expecting anything great with a PG13 movie though.

I know, good point.
My mates and what I heard about it, it was like the best horror for years, that why i thought it was a joke.
See it, but dont recommend spending too much!!

Low are you serious? twisted horror films? wtf.. dude that wasnt a horror that was a suspense film.. if thats horror then what the hell do you consider T.C.M., Amityville Horror, etc.. etc.. ?

the only thing that was good about the grudge was that they got the japanese belief correct. that was it. Im quite sick of these people remaking great movies or taking movies from the japanese and porting them to english films. i mean voice overs and subtitles would have been better. its like the ring which the ring wasnt bad but it was better in japanese. now they are making a ring 2 wtf? cant the frickin movie industry get original ideas.. the last ORIGINAL idea horror film their was that ive seen is Darkness Falls which isnt even that scary its just filled with the right jump factors and suspense to classify as a horror. The grudge had maybe one or two jump factors thats it. The new T.C.M. movie was diffenrnt then the original but it wasnt original. Now they are REMAKING the Amityville Horror which is fucking GAY it will never beat the CLASSIC original version. No matter what they can do with Special Effects now. Thats why T.C.M. was not the exact same movie remade because they know remakes wont beat the original so they do a spinoff version. The Grudge was a remake from a japanese film... it was CRAP. and yeah i saw it in theaters and will probably own it because my wife liked it... i on the other hand am a traditional horror fan give me the true horror film or take your ass back to the drawing board.

Now that Saw movie that LOOKED GOOD! i havent seen it yet but i will. their is alot of these suspense horrors coming out now and some of them are ok looking but nothing thats going to make me piss my pants. and then their is the gay cheese balls that take an idea and twist it around a litle to make a differnt movie like that new one Darkness which is just a play off of Darkness Falls with a differnt plot... stay in the light kids the Darkness is coming.....and youll know when it comes cuz they will be singing I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE!

Bottom line to the Grudge is if your looking for a TRUE Horror Film this is not it.. if your looking for the suspense horror shit they are making now days... then go see it.. or better yet wait awhile and rent it cuz its not worth going to a theater for it.

lol, okay decayed fair enough. Horror films nowadays will never make you shit yourself. None have for years even decades. None of the horrors today are original either. So I agree with ya. If a good horror film came out, that actually scared people, it would probably get banned for fuck sake.

not true stu. theres been some ok horror films that try to touch base that scare people.. but the fact is the horror genre has been watered down just like every other genre and industry has done. The only true Horror Film i have loved that was made recently was House Of 1,000 Corpses but Rob Zombie got the idea for it from T.C.M. and the first Jeepers Creepers was a good example of an original horror film.. the 2nd was just a way to get more cash which sucked. but the 1st one should be considered a classic horror film even though its not that scary cuz it goes back to the root of horror films when there was a MONSTER and not just some psycho. :D

My friends me and my wife all love horror films so we get dissapointed by the watered down horror films they are putting out now. its sad when i can go buy movies like the Night Of The Living Dead and be extremly happy with it for $10 but go buy a $20 brand new "horror" film and be so pissed and feel so ripped off.

Jeepers Creepers is pretty good...I personally like it..but then again I like most horrow movies..except for the grudge..because the movie was fucking retarted and no living person should be forced to pay for a view of the movie.

IT was a good horror film though Stu. Its funny when we look back at it but when we were younger it was great and thats because a kids imagination makes them believe in things easier. Plus, now were fucked cuz we tell ourselves its just a movie none of it could be real unless they put Based On A True Story on it.

Jeepers Creepers 2 sucked ass i wouldnt recommend that to anyone.

hmm.. time to do a List Your Favorite Horror Films..... :D

True story on IT, thats the thing nowadays, that why Texas Chain Saw Massacre was so liked, cause its true.
