In the wake of his breach-of-contract lawsuit against Reebok, Pharrell Williams and the sneaker giant have mutually agreed to part ways.

Just two weeks ago, Williams filed a $4 million suit alleging that Reebok failed to meet the distribution and quality standards of his Billionaire Boys Club clothing line and Ice Cream footwear. Williams and Reebok reached a licensing and distribution deal back in 2003 before launching the lines last year. According to Williams' spokesperson, the producer dropped the suit as part of the agreement.

The company will continue to sell Ice Cream sneakers until June 30, 2005 and Pha-Real stated that he will soon announce future plans for his clothing and sneaker line.

"Reebok and I both understand we have very different visions for my clothing line, BBC and my sneaker line, Ice Cream," Williams stated. "I have learned a great deal doing business with Reebok, and it has been a great experience. I am pleased that we can part ways amicably and am excited to launch my line independently."

Dennis Baldwin, Reebok's chief marketing officer, said the company's design and distribution practices didn't fit Williams' blueprint.

"Although we would have liked for this venture to have been more successful, in the end, we both realize that the design and distribution fit just wasn't there," Baldwin told Billboard.
