Hip-Hop Kings has been established since 2004, however due to a failed backup, I lost all the data leading up to 2009. I've restored as much as possible, and launched a blog style resource for new Hip Hop music for 2010 and beyond. My name is Ryan Maxwell and you're welcome to contact me if you're an upcoming rap artist, or a publicist looking to promote your client.
The Hip-Hop world was left saddened when Doc Brown hung up the microphone to persue a career in comedy. Here is a parody track from Doc Brown called “Jimmy Wiggz” which is a tribute to his dead hamster. Doc Brown has gone ahead and produced a video for the song which has been featured on the comedy section of BBC. Thanks to @DJBonesUK for letting me know about this one. You can watch the video for Doc Brown – Jimmy Wiggz below.

I think we finally have a contender for MIA’s “Born Free” in regards to disturbing videos. Huoratron is a Finnish producer who’s set to make a remarkable print on the U.K music scene. His video for “Corporate Occult” contains a warning, as there’s plenty of nudity and disturbing scenes. The track itself is difficult to label in terms of genre, but we’re expecting a mix of different music from his upcoming E.P “Prevenge” which will be available August 2nd. I have to stress the warning with the content of the video for Huoratron – Corporate Occult which you can view below.
Recently I posted the behind-the-scenes footage from Sway and Donae’o for their new collaborative single “Pop A Bottle”. Now the official video for Pop A Bottle has been distributed, and already received just under 3000 YouTube views. Sway has a new album in the works for 2010, which features plenty of high profile artists who are soon to be confirmed. You can watch the official video for Sway x Donae’o – Pop A Bottle on the player below.
The People’s Army are a U.K collective of MC’s, graffiti artists and like-minded individuals who share the passion of the urban lifestyle and great Hip-Hop music. The Remus video has been produced by none other than Charlie Sloth, and the track is featured on the upcoming mixtape “Welcome To The New School”. Here is the brand new video from Hip-Hop duo Nefew for their single “Because I Can”. Nefew bring quality Hip-Hop, and are widely regarded as positive, and influential figures in the Hip-Hop world. You can watch the new video for Nefew - Because I Can on the video player below.
Underground Hip-Hop artist Wale presents a new video, where he speaks about the devastating situation in Haiti. Wale is also quizzed on the Charles Hamilton situation and his thoughts on what’s to come in 2010. Kudos to 25 Magazine who caught up with the Washington-based rapper, after his performance at the Haiti benefit concert at Howard University. You can watch the Wale video on the link below.
Everytime I hear the name Slaughterhouse I have an adrenaline rush. Quite simply because anything that leaves the studio as a final product is not only better than the previous release, but 95% of the other music in the Hip-Hop world. Microphone is the name of the new single, kicked off by Royce Da 5′9, followed by Crooked I, then Joell Ortiz, and finished by Joe Budden. You can watch the Slaughterhouse – Microphone video on the OnSmash player below.
A new Ghostface and Method Man feature has revealed a story during their early days (early 1990’s) when the duo were touring with the Wu-Tang Clan. A prank pulled on Method Man himself could have taken a turn for the worse, but Tical responded and upset various members of the Wu. You can watch both Ghostface and Method Man speak of the incident on the player below.
African Born, American Influenced and U.K inclined, is the best way to describe Killan Ateh. The London-based rapper has already performed various shows in London, Brighton and Glasgow released his previous single “It’s On” in November, and Hello is the bonus track which has warranted a video. His label V Style Media Group are pushing Killan Ateh hard, and we’re expecting him to make a massive impact to the U.K Hip-Hop scene in 2010. You can watch to Killan Ateh – Hello on the player below.
Always aiming to bring you something different to the norm, we came across this new video from Ctrl Z. We previously hosted the single which shows the single Ruffneck remixed by Ctrl Z and The Freestylers, and also feature the rapper Navigator. The official video for Ruffneck has now been launched in an attempt to increase the profile of the label “Never Say Die”. The video is a blend of all the four remixes, and shines light from a different perspective on up-tempo music. You can watch the Ctrl Z – Ruffneck Remix Video on the player below.
