Lushlife Brings Their Debut
Published on 30 August, 2005Email To Friend

Most of us are used to hearing the typical struggle and battles of the average emcee these days. What if I said the next big thing has 13 years of classical piano training, along with a further 7 years of Jazz kit drumming? Its not gonna happen right? Well let me introduce Lushlife.

We aren’t dealing with your everyday emcee and producer. As stated above, Lushlife has had years of training in other genres besides hiphop. His gift to rap, produce, DJ, and the ability to combine all three techniques makes him something special.

So why has it taken Lushlife so long to be recognised on a mainstream level? Well after studying at university for a year, Lush was disillusioned, and began questioning his purpose in music. He decided to fall back to his first musical love, which of course was hiphop. With high standards Lush found it difficult finding MC’s to match his vision, so with that in mind he decided to write to his own beats, using the words and flow he picked up during his highschool days. The end product? An easy going flow which had the right vocals to match the beats. And from that came his debut album “Order of Operations”, which was completely written, and produced by Lushlife himself.

“No Foundation” is the first offering from “Order of Operations”. Described as the summer hit, but a message concerning the roots of hiphop, and their foundation, the street). To make things that extra spicy, on the flipside of the single can be found the U.K remix team Yam-Who, who add their nu-soul/dancefloor style. So look out for “Order of Operations” which will be hitting the streets soon. An album full of optimism, and definitely an album to be remembered!
