End Of An Infamous Hip Hop Beef
Published on 31 March, 2006Email To Friend

One of the most notorious hiphop beefs is about to come to an end, as KRS ONE and DJ Marley intend to drop a new album released through Koch Records. DJ Marley was involved with MC Shan when they recorded the 1985 track “The Bridge”.

KRS ONE took offence to the record, claiming that hip hop was founded in the South Bronx, so the rapper made a response called “South Bronx”. Each artist continued to release diss tracks that were fortunately kept on wax. Some of the tracks were “End Of The Bridge” by KRS, and “Kill That Noise” by MC Shan.

DJ Marley spoke about the situation, and how he is doing this for the good of hip hop and the good of the youth, giving a positive message for the younger generation. "It all happened with one phone call," Marley Marl told reporters. "They called me and he jumped on the phone and told me it would be spectacular for Hip-Hop."

There has been no word on the album as of yet, which includes a track listing or a title. The album is set to hit stores in summer.
