Snoop Dogg To Release Novel
Published on 22 April, 2006Email To Friend

Snoop Dogg will be venturing out into the book business, as the West-Coast rapper has agreed to release his first novel through Atria Books, a division of the publishing giant Simon & Schuster.

The book will be entitled “Love Don't Live Here No More”, and the story has already been branded “the typical struggle” as it concentrates on a young male in the state of California, surviving and going through day to day problems as he attempts to make a career in rap music.

"Snoop, by nature of what he does, is a storyteller," said Kathleen Schmidt, Atria Books vice president and director of publicity via a statement. "Books speak more to a female audience than does his music, so this will give him an opportunity to show, particularly his female fans, another side."

“Love Don't Live Here No More” is reported to be the first in a series of “street” releases by Snoop Dogg, and will hit shelves around October time. Details of the agreement are sketchy, however it's reported that Atria have allowed Snoop to release six novels under his current contract.
