Immortal Technique Rocks London Stage
Published on 06 July, 2006Email To Friend

Hip-Hop Kings were lucky enough to get seats for one of the hottest gigs this year, which included Viper Records artists Immortal Technique, Diabolic and Akir line up along some of the hottest U.K acts.

The night begun with a London rapper named “Manage” (http://www.myspace.com/manage). Performing such hits as “RIOT” and “Mics 4 Life” hyped the crowd nicely for the arrival of Poisonous Poets star “Stylah” (http://www.myspace.com/stylah).

The evening progressed and only got better, all members of the Poisounous Poets featured to perform new material. Akir and Diabolic received bone-shattering receptions as they performed various tracks.

The two main acts (Klashnekoff and Immortal Technique) did some serious damage on the stage. Unfortunately Klashnekoff only had time to perform three tracks, as the show was running late. The crowd were expectadly upset, but also anticipated the arrival of Technique. Once the Harlem-based MC took the stage the crowd erupted. 2000 fans rapped with Technique to the likes of Harlem Streets, Obnoxious, Bin Laden (Remix), and newer material.

The night was definitely a success, besides taking up to an hour to get my digital camera and camcorder back, and getting searched three times. The quality of music was excellent, and the atmosphere was something which goes against any politician's/media's view points on hip-hop. Not once did i see an argument break out, let alone a fight.
