It's that time of year again, turntablists beware, as it's the return of the infamous DMC World DJ Championships, and 2006 offers to be the biggest in history.

Hosts Killa Kela (British Beatboxer) and MC Trip (The Mixologists) will be the front men at Hammersmith Palais, Shepherds Bush Road in London on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th September. The event will be split into two days, each offering an exciting line up, and evening that fans are never to forget.

The battle for world supremacy. Team Event. The likes of Ahead Of The Game (DJ Plus One-Scratch Perverts and DJ Beni G Mixologists) are set to hit the stage, along with PA's from  Skibadee and DJ Chrissy Chriss (Radio1). To follow, DJ Enferno (2003 US DMC Champ, World DMC Runner-up)

Individual event for the DMC DJ World Champion. 2006 offers more skill than ever before, with original and breathtaking techniques from a range of DJ's who aim to be crowned as the UK's number one. Each DJ is also competing to be placed amongst an elite group of past winners, which include Cutmaster Swift (World Champion 1989), DJ Noize (’96), DJ Craze (’98, ’99, ’00), Plus One (’01), DJ Kentaro (’02), and  Dopey (’03).

The prizes are lucrative to say the least, as the winner receives $30,000 in prize money, along with those world-renowned golden turntables. DJ's will be unhappy that the rules have changed as rules state that only one set of Technics SL1210 MK2 turntables, one mixer with no effects or modifications and only stylus in the Ortofon range allowed per competitor. However co-ordinators state that this is to keep the competition fair, and give each DJ an equal chance of winning. Below are detailed information regarding prizes.
