Too Early For Diddy’s Financials In Assault Case
Published on 29 February, 2008Email To Friend

Too Early For Diddy’s Financials In Assault CaseThe judge overseeing a lawsuit filed again Sean "Diddy" Combs, in which Diddy is alleged to have punched a man in the face, has ruled that it is too early in the trial for the plaintiff to request the stars financial information.

The attorney representing the man Gerard Rechnitzer, recently requested the information to determine what punitive damages may have to be paid by Diddy, if he is found liable for the assault.

The trial is scheduled to begin on May 27th, according to associated press. Rechnitzer claims that Combs punched him in the face at a post-Oscars party in February 2007. The rap star filed a declaration stating that any injuries Rechnitzer received were “caused by his forward motion against my stationary open hand.”

It has been reported that Diddy has filed a cross-complaint denying any responsibility for the plaintiff's injuries. He also places the blame on a number of as-yet unnamed defendants
