Published on 17 April, 2008Email To Friend

T.I. Wants To Turn Up The VoteRapper T.I. will be lending his hand to Russell Simmons "Turn Up The Vote" campaign this weekend.

Alongside Russell Simmons, T.I. will be in Philadelphia to support the campaign, which is aimed at educating young adults on the issues in the upcoming Presidential election, and encourages them to vote. The summit will take place at Temple University this Sunday, 20th April.

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia to participate in the Hip-Hop Summit," T.I. said via a statement. "We are going to encourage young people to go out to vote. I personally know the value of having the right to vote and it taken away from you, but I will add my voice to help inspire others to take seriously this right and responsibility."

Expect to see appearances from Ciara, Jim Jones, Flo Rida, Webbie, Lil Boosie, Chrisette Michelle, Rich Boy, Styles P, Lyfe Jennings, Lil X and Green Lantern, who will all be attending the event.

Doors open at 12:30pm on Sunday 20th April and you can get free tickets for the event at www.hsan.org
