It becomes a great achievement to a recording artist when they not only gain national recognition, but like Sway have had international support including Asia and America. The new single from U.K Hip-Hop artist Sway is “Blow The Whistle” which is set to contend for the number one spot in the next few weeks. Fans of Sway will be familiar with the recently posted “Pop A Bottle” video which was posted a few weeks ago, and featured Donae’o in the track. You can view the promotional artwork and listen to Sway – Blow The Whistle on the player below.

I’m delighted to introduce a U.K-based artist who goes by the name of R2S. A wolverhampton-based Hip-Hop artist who has just released his latest mixtape “The Continuous Struggle Volume One”. It’s impossible for me to listen and post every single press release and CD I receive, however after listening to the official R2S MySpace page, the likes of “Blackdown” and the cover of Nas’ “Dead Presidents Rap” won me over instantly. I’d like to share the music, as The Continuous Struggle is available as a free download. Show support the U.K Hip-Hop scene and drop your comments. You can view the artwork and download link for R2S – The Continuous Struggle Volume One below.

I haven’t heard from D Julien in a few weeks, and what a way to return with the new freestyle for BarrelHouse.TV. D Julien is also releasing his new mixtape “Ready For Tomorrow” this summer, which is set to present new and unheard music from D Julien. Quotes like “That internet be having people think you famous. Hop up on that street and people treat you like you nameless” reminds fans why D Julien is so well liked. You can watch the new D Julien freestyle for BarrelHouse.TV below.
After releasing “Selling A Dream” Pittsburgh’s Boaz and DJ Shef return with “Point Blank Presents The Govament Gang: Free Hard Tymez.” Hard Tymez is one of the original members of Pittsburgh’s rap group The Govament. Look out for another solo Boaz mixtape to follow and then the Fall release of “The Audio Biography 2.” This first leak consists of Boaz and his crew linking with Philly’s own Peedi Crakk. Full tape drops later this month. You can listen to Boaz x Peedi Crack x The G.O.V – Back Block on the player below.

Here is another interview from The Hip Hop Chronicle, this time Sumit manages to speak with Raekwon at his mixtape listening party. Raekwon is releasing his “Brinks Boys” mixtape shortly, and he is asked about trend setting of sequel albums. More information suggests that GZA is featured on the “Just For Laughs” track as well. You can watch the Raekwon interview with The Hip Hop Chronicle below.
A groundbreaking 3D video has been created for Rhymefest and Phonte, and their collaborative single “Say Whassup”. El Che is available in a few days, and Say Whassup is the final promotional tool ahead of the release. The 3D music video is set to change the way video’s are created in the future, and allows directors and record labels to become far more creative in their ideas. You can watch the new 3D video for Rhymefest x Phonte – Say Whassup on the player below.
Ahead of the release of “Black Van Music”, a project inspired by Jake One’s “White Van Music”, Ohio-based Big J has created a video for his single Alcoholic. The party anthem is cleverly directed by Steve Staffan and is anticipated to be one of the lead singles ahead of the new album. You can watch the video for Big J – Alcoholic below.
Following the hype surrounding Eminem‘s new album “Recovery” we’ve already seen collaborations with Pink, and the proposed sixteen-song tracklisting. “Not Afraid” and “Despicable Freestyle” are two other tracks, however the leak for Recovery doesn’t have the tracks named or tagged. I must stress this is an un-official leak, and not the advance copy of the album. Now that Eminem’s album Recovery is available for purchase, you can download from the Amazon link below.

Following the release of the latest album “Free At Last” Hip-Hop Kings Interviews West-Coast Legend Yukmouth
HHK: Firstly thanks for speaking to us Yukmouth. The big news is the release of the latest album “Free At Last”. What was the inspiration for the name of the titie?
Yukmouth: Well like I say in all my interviews, “Free At Last is exactly what the title says, I’m Free At Last!” Free from Rap-A-Lot Records, and free from L.A. County Jail! On The West Coast Don album, I was locked up in L.A. County so I wrote the whole album in jail. So, that’s why it’s so much storytelling on that album because in jail that’s all you have is your story, so that’s how the album came out. On Free At Last, I was out of jail, and was able to network and make a great album. So, Free At Last is the movement!
