On 29th July, 8trak Productions release their debut mixtape ‘Beats & Pieces’ featuring some of the most talented and respected UK MCs around, including Chima Anya, Grand Central (Mr Drastic and Kinetik), Nutty NRG and Suga Diezel, and US rapper Karess. I previously featured Grand Central on Hip-Hop Kings with their single “Baby You Know” which was the work of 8Trak Productions, and the mixtape is preparation for their forthcoming 8Trak album. The Doctors Orders Presents Questlove Live Set in September [News]

It’s fair to say The Doctors Orders are responsible for bringing the biggest artists and DJ’s into the U.K, and there’s no difference as it’s announced Questlove will be headlining a DJ set on the 11th September 2010. In assosiation with Dephect, other DJ’s performing in the evening are Mr Thing and the Spin Doctor, and the first 200 tickets will be available for just £8. Sam Khan x Charlie Sloth – I Love Your Lady [Video]

Yesterday I posted the behind the scenes footage from Sam Khan and Charlie Sloth from their new single “I Love Your Lady” Since the video was released no more than 48 hours ago, the video has racked up an incredible 45,000 youtube views, which I believe is a U.K Hip-Hop record. Lewis Parker x John Robinson Live in Leeds [News]

The Elbow Room in Leeds is the home to many Hip-Hop nights, previously including the Chief Wigz album launch amongst others. On the 14th August the city of Leeds will be blessed with the presence of Lewis Parker and John Robinson for a live show with tickets for just £5. Support on the evening will come from J Bravo / Brutal Artistry / Verbal Contact / DJ Prolific / Kockee K and others. A lot of people will be familiar with JC from his “The KHz Project” which was a free download which featured the likes of SonnyJim and Klashnekoff. Now JC is back with his self-formed No Money Records for a double sided single which will be available from 2nd August. The A-Side called “Ayo” features Oddisee and “Soul Search” is the B-side which presents Malik from Moorish Delta 7 and LKC. I’ll have the download / purchase links available in August, however in the meantime you can visit the new No Money Records website on the link below.
