We’ve managed to grab a live stream of the new Ghostface album – Ghostdini – The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City. As Hip-Hop Kings previously reported, Ghostface plans to release the album on Monday 29th September, and the diverse efforts of marketing the album seem to have paid off. Ghostface has released a series of blogs and updates throughout the campaign, which is becoming essential to give positive sales figures upon release. Even though the name implies lazy and lethargic, Apathy is far from that when it comes to making and releasing music. After being covered in XXL, Vibe, and signing a new major to Atlantic Records, Apathy has prepared his sophomore album “Wanna Snuggle” which is set for release on October 6th 2009. Slip-N-Slide Records artist Plies has released the video to his single “Becky”. I’ve never been a huge fan of Plies, but the new album “Good Affiliated” has been promised as one of the albums to check out this year. I can see why Plies has just a large following, and Slip-N-Slide never hold back with their marketing for their major artists on the roster. This is the first official single from Brewsky called Smoking Hookah, from his upcoming album which is currently untitled. South West London based recording artist J.R has announced news that a new project is in the works, and to kick start the campaign we have the double single “Get Gully” / “Major League”. Currently signed to Class A Entertainment, J.R is the label’s most iconic artist, and the new project is set to be his best work to date. Following the recent success of “Catch Me If You Can”, U.K Hip-Hop artist Bashy has released the video trailer for the forthcoming “Life”. In a style that only Bashy can, emotive verse are laid over a Toddla T-produced beat, and once again will have fans sparking debate about one of the countries finest talents. Yesterday marked the 18th anniversary of the release of “Low End Theory” by A Tribe Called Quest. To commemorate the group, QuESt and M Will the Shogun will release a joint project called “A Rapper Called QuESt” appropriately titled to the artist.
