Here is a brand new exclusive from Hip-Hop Kings as I interviewed Hip-Hop legends Souls of Mischief during their U.K tour. You’ll be aware that only a few days ago I reviewed the Rodney P and Skitz show in Leeds (my city), and Souls of Mischief also stopped by to perform. Souls of Mischief were asked about their new album Montezuma’s Revenge, their personal favourite tracks from the album, and my personal favourite Postal. Souls of Mischief were also asked about their classic album “93 Til Infinity” and their plans for the rest of 2010. You can watch the exclusive Souls of Mischief interview below.
Craig Bass is a VA based artist who I felt should be highlighted on Hip-Hop Kings for his track called “The Hip Hop Effect Intro” which has been featured on his new mixtape also titled “The Hip Hop Effect”. The mixtape has been sponsored by, guess who, thehiphopeffect.com, and was available to fans on February 19th 2010. If you like what you hear, simply Google Craig Bass and you’ll find download links to the mixtape everywhere. You can listen to Craig Bass – The Hip Hop Effect Intro on the player below.
After enjoying the success of his mixtape Sounds, Ca$hflow is back with a brand new single with Charlie Rockz called “Dollar and a Dream”. Features on 2DopeBoyz, Kevin Nottingham and of course Hip-Hop Kings have boosted Ca$hflow‘s online profile, and with Dollar and a Dream following shortly after, I expect the buzz to remain strong for Ca$hflow. You can listen to Ca$hflow x Charlie Rockz – Dollar and a Dream on the player below.
In the era of new campaigning and collaborating on projects, one of the U.K Hip-Hop scene’s most respected artists in 10 Shott has streamed his brand new single “Oh My Dayz”. Double E has been around the U.K Hip-Hop scene for a lot longer than people think. What we do know is the heavy support from the U.K rap fans that have supported the new single So Glad which is Double E‘s new track. Double E has stated that So Glad will be featured on the upcoming mixtape “Verbum Veritas” that will be available in late 2010. You can listen to Double E – So Glad on the player below.
There’s a huge buzz about Buttafly‘s latest single “Get That Money” which will be available from 12th April 2010 via iTunes. Buttafly has also previously collaborated with PDC Entertainment founder and artist Jaja Soze on the single “So Fly” which proved to be a popular single too. During the recording process of Rhymefest‘s upcoming album El Che, the Hip-Hop star was filmed in New York’s legendary Baseline Studios with the very popular producer Just Blaze. Problems arise when Rhymefest has unexplained troubles in the recording booth, but like all great lyricists, manages to overcome the difficulties and deliver a professional verse in the end. El Che is Rhymefest‘s upcoming album and will be available from 18th May 2010. You can watch the Rhymefest and Just Blaze recording session on the player below.
For the benefit of the Hip-Hop Kings readers I’m based in a wonderful city in the UK called Leeds. Famous for Corin Bailey Ray, the best football team in the world, and then I begin to struggle to add anything further to the list. Once in a while we’re blessed with a fantastic lineup of Hip-Hop artists sharing the stage in a single evening. Wednesday 10th March 2010 boasted a fantasy line-up of Termanology with Rodney P and Skitz.
Nneka has been credited with various high profile awards including a 2009 Mobo award, a performance on David Letterman and testimonials on Amazon and other digital outlets. Walking will be available 29th March through iTunes and all the major digital e-stores. You can listen to Nneka – Walking on the player below.
