Fans of West-Coast rapper Loose Logic will have already downloaded his latest single iRok which will be featured on his forthcoming album “Logistics”. Loose Logic is now throwing a video release party for the iRok video, and fans are welcome to join him at the Bungaloo Club on March 1st 2010. The event is free for fans, including a cash bar, and appetizers will be available too. The event kicks off at 7.00pm so make sure you’re there early. Classified is marking his signature signing to Sony Music with a brand new video for his single “Quit While You’re Ahead”. The Canadian lyricist will have the track featured on his upcoming album “Self Explanatory” which will be available from 10th May 2010. Classified has also called upon Choclair who has previously worked with Kurupt, Memphis Bleek and Guru, and Maestro and Moka Only for a verse each respectively. I have a third, and possibly final leak from Basic Vocab‘s upcoming album “A Better Way” called Like A Star. Basic Vocab are a Miami-based outfit, and Like A Star is the third leak from the album after already hearing What They Want, and Prescription. Like A Star also features Jesse Boykins III who is one of many guest features on the new album. I received word today that Rhymefest has officially set a release date for his upcoming sophomore album “El Che”. Available from 18th May 2010, Rhymefest is currently working at SoundScape Studios with Michael Kolar for El Che, and the news was initially leaked through his Twitter account. El Che will not be released through J Records after problems with the label, however Rhymefest has been working hard self-promoting the album release through UStream which is a great outlet for artists. Since I hosted the new single from Nottz called “Shine So Brite” on Hip-Hop Kings, the buzz and response has been amazing. You Need This Music is the debut album from Nottz, and has now been officially labelled one of the most anticipated album releases of 2010. Shine So Brite received thousands of downloads, and the video has now been distributed via the Internet. I’ll have as much information as possible on “You Need This Music” when it becomes available. Female MC Mo Wiley is preparing the release of her First Kut Records debut “Major League Ballin” with the brand new video You Can’t Touch Me. Mo Wiley is a Bay-Area native, and the video for You Can’t Touch It has been directed by Ian Fletcher who’s credits include DJ Quik amongst many others. Mo Wiley is also working with Morey Alexander who is known for launching the careers of Ice Cube and Dr.Dre, and Major League Ballin is produced by Slick from the Shock Mob. I’ve recently had the pleasure of speaking with SoulStice, and he’s certainly an artist who aims to always break boundaries with his music.
