Queens based Hip-Hop artist Slimchance has teamed up with fellow Haitian Reellyfe Entertainment affiliate Sasia to create a benefit song that will raise money to support the release fund. “Home Is Where The Heart Is” has been made available on various different download sites, along with receiving support from blogs across the Internet. The radio stations have been emailed in hope of audio support, and the number of downloads will determine how much is given to the relief fund. After releasing their debut “The General Dynamic” in 2006, Basic Vocab have returned their brand new single Prescription. Basic Vocab will be releasing their sophomore album “A Better Way” in April 2010 which has primarily been produced by in-house producer Tony Galvin who has worked with T.I, Young Jeezy, Trick Daddy and Nelly. Prescription is the second leak from the album, and the three members (JL Sorrell, Mental Growth and Tony Galvin) hope the single will circulate as well as the previous “There You Are”. We received news that Ctrl.Alt.Shift are the first charity to venture onto newsagent mainstream shelves with the release of its own bi-annual magazine – The Corruption Issue. The eighty-four page magazine will focus on poverty, and the barrier overcoming it. U.K DJ Tim Westwood is interviewed in the magazine, talking on the cultural issue of Pimp My Ride U.K amongst other things, and other urban and Hip-Hop content is covered. Ever since their debut release of 36 Chambers in 1993, it’s fair to say that the Wu-Tang Clan are the most celebrated and popular Hip-Hop group in the history of the genre.
