Doc Ish will be releasing his album “The First Treatment” which is quickly growing to be the most anticipated Hip-Hop album of 2010. Doc Ish has collaborations we can only dream of including Joe Budden, Bun B, Jay Electronica, Sean Price, Talib Kweli and many more. We’ve already heard “Cut My Throat” which was one of my favourite tracks this year. Court Dunn has now released a new music video for Rhymefest with his joint single with John Mayer for the track “Letter”. The single will be the debut from his forthcoming album Yes, and has been described as cool pop which fuses into Hip-Hop. I was really anxious to see what Hip-Hop Kings readers thought of Nero and their new video “Innocence”. Following their Requiem E.P on Formation Records, Nero’s following has raised quite dramatically in the past couple of years. Duck Down Records have revealed that Bay Root Productions were the winner in phase one of the Duck Down / 2k Sports competition to have aspiring artist have their music featured on the NBA 2011 video game. April 6th is the start of the MC competition where rappers have the chance to download the Bay Root Promotions instrumental, and submit a clean, no profanity track to be considered for the winner. Japanese DJ Krush and Mr Thing will be performing live at the Electric Ballroom on 29th April 2010. Tickets can be purchased from ticketweb and £14.00 is the advanced price. Doors will open at 19:00 and DJ Krush will be live on stage at 21:00. DJ Krush is credited for being one of the first DJ’s to use turntables as live instruments, doing free sessions with live musicians on stage.
