If the Devil could spawn, or perhaps makeshift into the human form, then the closet thing the human mind could comprehend would be a figure similar to Kashmere. Once the seed of Lucifer hatched from the depths of the most ferocious caves, his sole purpose was to document his thoughts in a musical form, during his influential presence on the planet Earth. Successful in his mission, Kashmere presents “Raiders Of The Lost Archives”. A thrilling, and mythical journey throughout the eyes of the evil, and quite literally speaking, Kashmere's “Hour Of Chaos”.
Kashmere stole the Ten Commandments, spit venom throughout the intricate text, and converted the free-flowing poetry into a magma-lead string of vicious, yet imaginative text. Kashmere quite literally breath's fire wherever he travels, which includes supporting UK artists such as Foreign Beggars, Jehst, Taskforce and Braintax. It's true that the devil really does rule the media industry. Kash' has received rave reviews from the likes of The Metro, One Week To Live, DJ, and Hip Hop Connection, radio play on BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100 and XFM, as well as video play on MTV and Channel U.
The tracklisting is consistent with the persona that Kash' has cast himself upon. Fine examples of this are tracks such as “The Genesis”, “The Nightmare” and “Dawn Of The Darkness”. The track's content continues to match the tone of the album, and with UK legend “Jehst” executively producing the album, the beats complement the vibe that Kashmere sets. Kash' does have a vicious-flow, that seems to savage every single beat that he encounters. The chemistry with Jehst is evident throughout the three above tracks, where the pair have an understanding of exactly how they wanted the record to sound.
Kash' is very lyric-focused, and this statement proves correct in the likes of “The Jazz”. With uncountable metaphors, punchlines, and similes throughout the four-minute track. The same could be said about the Dramacide And Severe-featured “Rotations”.
“I See Fallen Angels Out To Get Me / But I'm Cutting Off Wings Like Motherfuckers Come Test Me!”
The two artists also lend their rapid-fire flow to the track, and continue to converse about the darker things in life. Explicit and dangerous vocab is used throughout, and “Rotations” proves to be a street anthem from the very first second. The album only continues to impress, with the likes of “Red Monkey's” and “Centre Of The Sun” Ft. Jehst. Both additions are fantastic contributions to “Raiders Of The Lost Archives”, and raise the overall quality that was initially set by Kashmere.
Another rapper, which adds to the continuous growth of emerging UK Urban artists. Kashmere proves to conduct himself in a professional manner, and manages to create a sound that's very catchy, and quite unique to the current set of lyricists. Providing Kash' can continue to build on some very solid foundations, we may be looking at another artist who can be rubbing shoulders amongst the likes of Skinnyman, Jehst, Klashnekoff, and Roots Manuva. “Raiders Of The Lost Archives” should be an album to remember in many years to come.
