U.K Hip-Hop lyricist Akala is set to perform at the Wardrobe in Leeds on Tuesday 19th November. Tickets are currently priced at £9.00 for the 14+ event, and doors open at 19:30. There is no confirmation on support acts or who will be DJing the night at the moment, however as soon as we receive an update we will amend the information. Following the news that Copywrite will be releasing his album “God Save the King (Proper English Version” on June 13th 2012, we have another leak from the album which features Akala and Sonny Seeza called “Starter Hats”. Copywrite has collaborated with a number of UK MC’s on the project, including Akala, Mystro, Genesis Elijah, M9 and Context alongside others, and prior to the album being released, Hip-Hop Kings also posted exclusives with Sam Khan and Loudmouth Melvin and Skillit. Here is the massive single from a conglomerate of U.K Hip-Hop artists (Logic, Last Resort, Maverick Sabre, Akala and Big Frizzle) for their track “We’ll Never Know”. It was recently announced that Logic and Last Resort would be releasing their joint album True Talk, which is now available for pre-order (check the link above). The video has been directed by Global Faction, and is the start of much promotion ahead of the official album release date (physical = 19th December 2011). Grime Daily (more known for their crep check) have filmed their latest video with U.K Hip-Hop artist Akala titled “book check”. The four-minute video is a brief summary of Akala’s favourite books, and the reasons he first bought them and recommends them. The video has been received as a very positive move from both fans of Grime Daily and Akala, and fans are looking forward to seeing what else is planned in the near future. What has been anticipated as one of the biggest U.K Hip-Hop events of the year, Birmingham based “Uncensored” will be showcasing a range of talent on Sunday 24th April at the famous Custard Factory in Birmingham. The event is titled “One Love No Borders”, and fans will see live performances from the likes of Lowkey, Akala, Jaja Soze, Logic, DVS, Iron Braydz, Jimmy Jitsu and others. As you can see The Peoples Army are in attendence along with DJ Snuff, and PDC Entertainment will also be involved to perform for fans. Here is the brand new video from three U.K Hip-Hop heavyweights Lowkey, Akala and Black The Ripper titled “I Still Believe”. Directed and edited by Morgan Keyz of SBTV, Lowkey continues to amaze fans with his uncensored lyrics and mind-provoking substance. Lowkey is preparing to release his highly anticipated album “Soundtrack To The Struggle” which has been listed as a 2011 release. Looking back through 2010 and before, I wanted to feature a certain artist called Akala, and his F64 infront of the SB.TV camera’s.
