Previous | Joell Ortiz – Outta Control
It’s been a crazy 24 hours on the Internet, right after Kendrick Lamar dropped that verse on “Control” it seems to be the focal point of conversation for all things Hip-Hop. Yesterday I posted a Joell Ortiz response, and now B.o.B has released his reply titled “How to Rap”. I’m still expecting plenty more in the upcoming days, however you can listen to B.o.B – How to Rap on the YouTube player below.
B.o.B. has announced that he is “in my groove” and that he has begun working on his sophomore album. The album will be the follow to last year’s “B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray” which featured the singles “Airplanes”, “Nothin’ On You” and “Magic”.
The Georgia native is currently preparing to hit the road with Rihanna’s “LOUD” summer tour, but he had time to state:
“I’m really excited about this one,” he told MLive.com. “You’re always excited about every project. But I really feel like I’m in my groove with this one. I’m more aware of myself as an instrument, as a sound. It’s more intentful.”
There is no release date for the LP as of yet. “I don’t know yet,” he said. “I always have a blueprint in my head for how things should be, but they never pan out. I’ve become more observant and I just watch.”
Hip-Hop producer Jim Jonsin revealed B.o.B. won’t be having as many features on this album.
“I don’t think he’s doing as many features,” he said. “I think most of his singles will be him and he just wants the fans to hear a lot more of him on this album. It’s gonna be incredible.”
Lupe Fiasco‘s version of B.o.B.’s smash hit “Airplanes” has been leaked, featuring Hayley Williams. So which version do you prefer? Personally they are too different verses in a different direction.
