In the midst of an Aesop Rock focused Rhymesayers project, Brother Ali has surprised many with a new video and FREE DOWNLOAD of his single “Not a Day Goes By”. Directed by Jake Wilson and produced by Jake One, Brother Ali reminds fans why he’s still regarded as one of the most talented and respected lyricists in the Rhymesayers family. Brother Ali recently tweeted me confirming that Jake One has entirely produced his forthcoming album, so I presume that we won’t be waiting long to hear more details in the upcoming months. Furthermore, Brother Ali will be touring the U.K this month, so check the link above for the full list of tour dates. Brother Ali Interview [Exclusive]

Ryan Maxwell • March 23, 2010 • Comments (2)

I once again was fortunate enough to speak to Rhymesayers artist and Underground Hip-Hop legend Brother Ali during his U.K tour. I met with Brother Ali in Nottingham at The Bodega, and after a chat during dinner (Brother Ali loves fish and chips), we spoke business. I asked Brother Ali about the new album “Us” and how it compared to The Undisputed Truth. Brother Ali was also quizzed about his work with Freeway, and his conversation with Just Blaze on Twitter. You can watch the exclusive Hip-Hop Kings interview with Brother Ali below.

Brother Ali – Us [Exclusive]

Ryan Maxwell • October 1, 2009 • Comments (2)

It’s still quite odd to think an albino homeless man who ever have such a significant impact in the underground Hip-Hop world. Rhymesayers recording artist Brother Ali has faced the trials and tribulations of homelessness, violence, raising a son and many more, yet he continues to produce quality music which has been credited “unique” for a reason. Following the immense success of “The Undisputed Truth” which was quite easily my personal favourite album of 2007, and the new album “Us” has set expectations higher than ever before.
