Arguably the biggest Hip-Hop album this year was J.Cole’s “Cole World” and the signature track “Lost Ones” now has an official video. Fans can still download Coles World using the download link above, and browse the Hip-Hop Kings archives for previous leaks and tracks which didn’t make the final album cut. Here’s the latest video from J.Cole and his promo team as we lead up to one of the most anticipated Hip-Hop albums this decade (Coles World). J.Cole has already leaked a number of tracks that suggestively will not be featured on Coles World, and with only 22 days to the release of Coles World (yes we’re counting) the new video should keep fans happy ahead of the release. Please feel free to browse the Hip-Hop Kings archives for the previous J.Cole tracks, however you can watch Cole World – The Sideline Story Commercial on the video player below.
J. Cole has hinted that his debut album will hit stores in the fall. The Roc Nation rapper revealed that he has now finished recording his album.
J. Cole spoke during a break from performinng at the Bonnaroo Arts & Music Festival, and he said he isn’t excited about waiting for the album.
“The only thing I’m not looking forward to about the album… I just finished the album last week,” he said. “It’s weird. It didn’t feel like it because I’ve got to wait three months for it to actually come out. I’m used to putting out a mixtape I’ve been working on for a year and instantly see the response. I can instantly follow everybody’s response to all the songs.”
The Fayetteville, North Carolina rapper isn’t content with just sitting back. “With this album, when you gotta release it commercially, I gotta sit around and wait and see what people think,” he continued. “I know it’s incredible, but I probably won’t really feel it until that two-week period when an album usually leaks and I see the responses, or the day it drops and I see the responses. I’m excited, but the real excitement comes when the people hear it.”
After releasing a statement to fans apologising for the delay in the next official single, we have a leaked track from J. Cole called “How High”. It’s likely that “How High” will not feature on the forthcoming “Cole’s World” album, and is purely a street single to keep fans excited ahead of the release. Here is what J. Cole had to say about the single. “I sampled a Kanye West song, but the problem is, [there’s] like five writers that he gave credit to,” J. Cole said in a Ustream broadcast. “When you’re clearing a sample, every writer has to be contacted. So you have to contact each and every one of them and get it cleared, so it’s tougher than the average one. As soon as it clears, we’re puttin’ it out. It’s perfect for the summer. It’s beautiful — I can’t wait ’til y’all hear it and then hear the sample and the original and how I did it. I don’t feel like nobody would’ve thought to flip it like that or even would’ve heard that part.” You can listen to J. Cole – How High on the audio player below.
Another unconfirmed track has been leaked from J.Cole titled “Return of Simba” (unconfirmed meaning unsure whether it will feature on Cole’s World). The track was posted to the Internet very recently and already has made it’s way around the blogosphere appearing on a number of different blogs and websites. I previously posted “See It To Believe It” and “Disgusting” and now “Return of Simba” is the third leaked track since J.Cole announced the forthcoming “Cole’s World”. The Hip-Hop world eagerly awaits as we’ve learned J. Cole‘s forthcoming album (officially now titled Cole’s World) is complete and is in the mastering process. We await to see the final track listing as a rumored and unconfirmed track listing has been posted on the Internet. I have a new leaked track from J.Cole titled “Disgusting” which probably won’t be featured on the new album. Cole’s World will be released via Roc Nation, and Jay-Z has been credited as the executive producer for the project. You can listen to J.Cole – Disgusting on the audio player below.
