Last month we featured Context’s single “The System” which is his latest track produced by Horror Stories. We’ve followed Context from his debut on HHK in 2010 with the single “Feeling Alone” featuring Genesis Elijah and Well Red. Context has now teamed up with producer trio “Horror Stories” for the latest track “The System”. Context has created his own style of music which is receiving praise and being featured on the BBC, along with plenty of other radio stations and magazines across the country. Following Context’s excellent 2013 and being branded as a 2014 “one to watch” fans will be treated to a new E.P titled “Stealing My Older Brother’s Tapes” which will be available later this year. To celebrate Context’s TWENTY FIRST post on HHK, you can listen to The System below.
Rising UK star Context has remixed the YG – My Nigga (ft Young Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan) track with his own version titled “I’m Bitter”. The official lyric video has been released via Vimeo just over an hour ago, and I’ve also been told by Context that his upcoming E.P will be available to download in January. As soon as I have the official artwork and track listing I’ll post on the website. You can watch Context vs YG, Young Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan – I’m Bitter on the Vimeo player below.
In July I posted the Context – Small Town Lad Sentiments (Mike Skinner Remix) and now we have the official video for the track which features a cameo from Mike himself. Context has continually achieved and added more to his CV (check the video reference) over the past few years, with the latest working directly with The Streets front man who personally requested to remix the single. Check the HHKMag archives for plenty of other Context tracks, however you can watch Context – Small Town Lad Sentiments (Mike Skinner Remix) on the YouTube player below.
Earlier this month I posted the brand new single and video from Context titled “Small Town Lad Sentiments”. I tuned into BBC Radio 1xtra yesterday to listen to MistaJam play the exclusive remix by The Streets frontman Mike Skinner. Mike had personally picked up on the record and wanted to remix, which of course Context was delighted with, and I have the audio below. Please feel free to browse the archives searching “Context” for previous work including Drowning, and Off With Their Heads. You can listen to Context – Small Town Lad Sentiments (Mike Skinner Remix) on the YouTube player below.
I’ve seen the rise of Context over the past couple of years, and his diversity within music is always a joy to listen to. The latest video for the single “Small Town Lad Sentiments” is a great representation of a large portion of the youth of Britain today. Small Town Lad Sentiments is the latest offering from Context following his recent success story of securing a publishing deal with EMI, and we can expect some more great music in the forthcoming months.
