This is the latest upload from Don’t Flop for the highly anticipated battle between Copywrite vs Tenchoo which was filmed during the Check Point 3 event in London.
Not much needs to be said to introduce both Copywrite and Tenchoo who are widely regarded as legends in the music and battle rap scene. Copywrite makes his debut battle as himself (check out the Shredder vs Raphael battle) and also his first battle in the UK in Don’t Flop. Tenchoo returns to the stage after a hiatus and a focus on music, for a battle which will remembered and appreciated by the original battle rap fanbase. General consensus is that Tenchoo won the battle fairly easily but it’s a great display from both artists. Copywrite vs Tenchoo will be a battle we remember for a long time.
A few years ago we had the pleasure of being involved with a UK remix of Copywrite’s “God Save the King (Proper English Version)” album which is still available to purchase. The remix album features guest appearances from the likes of Lamarrie Essquire, M9, Genesis Elijah, SAS, Beat Butcha, Endemic, Harry Love, 7th Dan, DJ Sarah Love and Context. Make sure you check out the Copywrite “God Save the King (Proper English Version)” on iTunes. Tenchoo has been working hard promoting the Panic Room 9 which is his latest project. The 8 track album was released on the 9th of May 2016 and was distributed via Starch Records. Make sure you check out both albums and support the artists by downloading the music.

At the Don’t Flop 5th Birthday event, E&Daniels leader Firts battled Manchester-based Bowski. Both artists have battled countless times for Don’t Flop throughout the years, and the pair exchanged bars on stage in front of one of Don’t Flop’s biggest crowds to date. Firts has recently released the Bar Crawl E.P with his E&Daniels fam which can be downloaded on the link above. Bowski had a great 2013 with a Fire in the Booth and will be releasing two E.P’s which will be available later this year. It’s a very special occasion when the Don’t Flop champion Tony D puts his title on the line, and the bar was incredibly high for his opponent Chris Leese who’s performed and beaten countless battlers throughout his Don’t Flop career. The fifth birthday event in Leeds was the arena for Tony D and Chris Leese to battle it out to see whether Tony D could once again retain his status as Don’t Flop Champion, or whether Chris Leese would be the third DF champ. Previous | Bloodstro Debut Interview
Following a recent visit to Manchester, I caught up with Don’t Flop rapper Bloodstro. HHKMag readers will be aware that I interviewed Bloodstro around a year ago following the Don’t Flop TTT10 event. Since then, Bloodstro explains he’s making a return to Don’t Flop and reminded fans he’s teaming up with former DF Champ O’Shea for his next battle. Bloodstro also speaks about a possible introduction into music, collaborating with Shotty Horroh and the Most Team. Bloodstro also addresses the death of his sister, and how that’s inspired him to return and be better than ever. You can watch the previous Bloodstro interview above, however you can watch the brand new Bloodstro Return to Don’t Flop interview below.
Deffinition Freestyle | http://bit.ly/Rsp4hl
Another anticipated battle from the Don’t Flop event in London was Newcastle based Deffinition, vs spoken word and poet Mark Grist which has been uploaded today. With many fans, critiques and battlers alike claiming Deffinition and Mark Grist are two of the best battlers in the UK at the moment, expectations were high before the event, and fans eagerly waiting to watch the video will not be disappointed. Please feel free to browse the HHK archives for plenty of older Don’t Flop videos, and listed above is the exclusive Deffinition freestyle we filmed at the 2012 Boom Bap Festival. You can watch Don’t Flop – Deffinition vs Mark Grist on the youtube player below.
Another video was uploaded today from the Don’t Flop 4th Birthday event in London which was an anticipated battle between Caustic and Jefferson Price. After fourteen battles this was Jefferson Price’s first International battle, which saw Caustic (who had recently been beaten in Canada by Deffinition) fly over to redeem himself against Jefferson Price. Immediately after the event, reports from people inside the venue suggested a fight had broken out which has been cut out of the video. You can watch Don’t Flop – Caustic vs Jefferson Price on the youtube player below.
Here is the latest video uploaded from Don’t Flop from Mr 13 vs Arkaic at the Blam! event in Manchester. Mr 13 debuted last year and has quickly grown whilst maintaining his Bang FM Radio show with DJ Bones, and releasing music. Mr 13 will be releasing the forthcoming project “Self Medicated” which will be released on 13.12.12. You can watch Don’t Flop – Mr 13 vs Arkaic on the youtube player below.
