Here is another great battle from the recent Dont Flop event (TTTT – To The Test 10) which was held in Leeds between Joe Snow and Firts (aka Mr 13). Both artists made their debut in 2011, and this was their first official debut battle. Both Joe Snow and Firts (aka Mr 13) have had interviews with Hip-Hop Kings to discuss their music plans, and their future in Don’t Flop. During my recent trip to London I finally had the opportunity to interview DJ/rapper/battler Firts aka Mr 13 in a brand new and exclusive feature for Hip-Hop Kings. Many of the readers will be aware of the mixtape “Firts Featuring” alongside a number of other projects and stand alone tracks. Furthermore Firts is a regular battler in the uk rap battle league Don’t Flop, and in the interview we discuss his battle with Leeds based MC Joe Snow. Check out the interview and freestyle with Firts (aka Mr 13) on the youtube player below.
Titled a try out match (but far from it), here is the latest Dont Flop video from the TTTT (to the test ten) event in Leeds. Leeds-based Dialect is matched against Wolves based Double L in one of the biggest try out matches I’ve had the pleasure of watching live. I anticipate both artists to participate in further Dont Flop battles in the upcoming months, and look out for the other Dont Flop – TTTT (to the test ten) videos coming in the upcoming days. However you can watch Dont Flop – Dialect vs Double L on the youtube player below.
This is the brand new video and single from Mr 13 and The Locksmiths for their track “Drama”. Regarded as a multi-talented individual, Mr 13 continues to host his show on Bang FM with DJ Bones, and battles in the UK rap battle league Dont Flop. The Leeds-based duo called upon Versatile for production (which Jack Danz also had a hand in) for Funbags which is a great example of the current vibe in the West Yorkshire Hip-Hop scene.
