Following the release of Elzhi‘s “ELmatic” which was regarded as one of the best tribute projects to a classic album ever, the former Slum Village lyricist returns this summer with a brand new worldwide tour, and news about a forthcoming solo album which will be released this autumn. Elzhi released ELmatic as the sophomore to his debut “The Preface” (2008), which was the catalyst for a UK and European Tour towards the end of 2011. Elzhi hasn’t released the name of the new album, but promises an autumn release date, and Hip-Hop Kings will be posting the updates and news as soon as it becomes available. Following the release of Elzhi‘s critically acclaimed “ELmatic” the former SlumVillage rapper has released the music video to the single “Memory Lane”. Anticipated to reach similar heights to the video for “It Ain’t Hard to Tell”, Elzhi once again visually and audiably displays why he is considered one of the best lyricists, and why ELmatic was credited as one of the top projects of recent times. Following the release of Elamtic, Elzhi has announced a string of European tour dates to conclude the end of a hugely successful year. Starting from tonight in Berlin, Elzhi has no fewer than fifteen shows across a number of European countries in under one month, and the Slum Village rapper will be catching up with Hip-Hop Kings during his tour to give an exclusive encounter of the brilliant year he’s had. In a deal that Jae Barber of The JAE.B Group has recently made public, the Hip-Hop man of the year Elzhi has closed a deal with Chrysler Group in which Elzhi will take part in the auto manufacturer’s “Emerging Artists Program”. Throughout the summer the Jeep brand will offer upcoming artists exclusive partnerships throughout North America, and Elzhi will be taking a Jeep Compass on the road in support of his critically acclaimed release “ELmatic”. Elzhi will be keeping fans updated with tweets, facebook updates and other social media messages, and this fantastic collaboration will see the birth and rise of a brand new generation of artists. The long wait is over, fans can now download Elzhi‘s latest mixtape “ELmatic” which is a tribute to Nas’ classic Illmatic. Elzhi has teamed up with some great artists and producers including Will Sessions, Royce Da 5’9 and Stokley Williams who all contribute fantastically to the tribute mixtape. As Hip-Hop Kings previously reported, Elhzi will be releasing a new project titled “ELmatic” which is a tribute to Nas’ “Illmatic” classic. Elzhi released a promotional video a few days ago to fans, and now I have an official leak for the remake of “Halftime”. Produced by Will Sessions, Elzhi has so far given a brilliant tribute to the Nas classic Halftime track, and this leak is set to get fans excited for the rest of the project.
