In a crazy week of high-profile interviews for Hip-Hop Kings, I’m excited to share the brand new interview with GLC. Fans will be aware of GLC from his work on two of Kanye West albums (Spaceship on College Dropout and Drive Slow on Late Registration). I speak to GLC about his forthcoming album “Love, Life and Loyalty” which will be available later this year, and the guest features and production on the album. Bun B x GLC x BJ The Chicago Kid – Happiness Before Riches [Video]
The Hip-Hop world will be fully aware of the Ruby Hornet / DJ RTC project “Closed Sessions Volume One” which proved to be a massive hit across America and the U.K. The new video for “Happiness Before Riches” was shot in Austin, Texas. Whilst recording with Freddie Gibbs, GLC mentioned that Bun B was on his way to Austin and had agreed to shoot the music video. Bun B x GLC – Happiness Over Riches [Music]
As Hip-Hop Kings previously reported, three major industry figureheads have combined to form the Chicago-based “Closed Sessions“. The first project is appropriately titled Closed Sessions Vol.1, with the tracklisting leaking onto the Internet. I have the first single from the project by Bun B and GLC and is called Happiness Over Riches. Rumour has it that Closed Sessions Vol 2 is already in the works, with artists who are attending the SXSW Music Festival in Texas.
