Papoose – Control (Kendrick Lamar Response)

Papoose

Previous | Skyzoo – Along the Way (Kendrick Lamar Response)

This is possibly the response I’ve been waiting for, Brooklyn-based Papoose has decided to release his response to the Kendrick Lamar verse and decided to address a bunch of other rappers in the process. Drake, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar are referred to as females, and I think has the most direct response to Kendrick Lamar personally. This is the fifth response I’ve posted to Kendrick Lamar and the question remains – how many more will surface? You can listen to Papoose – Control (Kendrick Lamar Response) on the YouTube player below.

JR Writer

Cassidy Response | B.o.B Response | Joell Ortiz Response

A portion of my college days were spent listening to the various members of Dipset and The Diplomats, of course including the lyricist known as JR Writer. It all made sense for the Harlem-born MC to speak out for his “Control Yourself (Kendrick Lamar Response)” and joins a long line of MC’s who have either released, or in the process of releasing responses to Kendrick Lamar. Make sure you check the other responses on the links listed above, however you can listen to JR Writer – Control Yourself (Kendrick Lamar Response) on the YouTube player below.

I’ll hold my hands up and say I completely overlooked Cassidy when thinking about the list of rappers who I’d love to hear respond to Kendrick Lamar. Arguably the best response yet, Cassidy releases Control (Kendrick Lamar Response) with a brand new set of punchlines aimed towards the Compton based rapper. Check the links above, and who do YOU think has issued the best response so far? You can listen to Cassidy – Control (Kendrick Lamar Response)

Previous | Joell Ortiz – Outta Control

It’s been a crazy 24 hours on the Internet, right after Kendrick Lamar dropped that verse on “Control” it seems to be the focal point of conversation for all things Hip-Hop. Yesterday I posted a Joell Ortiz response, and now B.o.B has released his reply titled “How to Rap”. I’m still expecting plenty more in the upcoming days, however you can listen to B.o.B – How to Rap on the YouTube player below.

Joell Ortiz

Earlier today I posted a new track from Big Sean ft Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica called “Control”, and the Hip-Hop world has been talking non-stop about Kendrick Lamar’s verse, claiming he’s the “King of New York”. Naturally, fans and rappers alike have formed opinions on the line, and Slaughterhouse member Joell Ortiz is the first to issue an official response to Kendrick Lamar. Big Sean ft Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica – Control (HOF)

• August 13, 2013 • Comments (2)

Big Sean – Hall of Fame

This is the track that everybody is talking about. Big Sean teams up with Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica for the “Control (HOF)”. Control didn’t actually make it to Big Sean’s album (arguably because of the content of Kendrick Lamar’s verse) however Big Sean leaked it through his Twitter page which has instantly caused controversy in the Hip-Hop world. All three artists have been credited for above-par verses, however Kendrick’s claim to be the “King of New York” (although from Compton) is the catalyst for the conversation.
