Here is the latest video from Kings of the City rapper Kayo Ken, which features U.K legend Klashnekoff titled “The Beast”. Fans of Hip-Hop Kings will be aware of Kayo Ken and Kings of the City from previous interviews (links both above) and the music they’ve collectively and individually released. Kayo Ken has announced that “The Beast” will feature on his 2013 mixtape NMNL (Nothing More Nothing Less) which will be a two part mixtape. Furthermore, Kayo Ken will be releasing a brand new E.P titled “Discomfort Zone” which will take, as quoted “A deep, honest, and introspective look at the last year of my life”. West Yorkshire Hip-Hop legend Spida Lee has teamed up with Klashnekoff for the release of his new single “Fuck You Pay Me (FUPM)”. Released through Don’t Talk to Strangers, Spida Lee has also provided fans with exclusive DnB and Reggae remixes from Irn Mnky (DJ Shadow’s favourite producer) however the original E.P cut was produced by Beat Butcha. Spida Lee recently did an interview with Hip-Hop Kings, speaking on the single FUPM and the E.P “Carriacou Jack 99%” which the track is featured on. The new album from Klashnekoff – Fuck The Long Talk (FTLT) is now available to download. The highly anticipated project has been released independently from the U.K Hip-Hop legend, and only a limited number of live appearances and his own social media presence have assisted with promotion for the album. Klashnekoff offers fans eighteen tracks of new music, which includes the “Cause and Effect Freestyle” and the “Let Me Clear My Throat Freestyle” that were blogged earlier in the year. I always get excited to hear and see new Klashnekoff, music, so when the tweet of a brand new single which features “Gentelman” called “Cause and Effect” started to circulate my timeline was full, and furthermore Klashnekoff has promised a video coming very soon. The Hip-Hop world is waiting for the arrival of Klashnekoff’s upcoming project “FTLT (Fuck The Long Talk)” and Cause and Effect is not yet a confirmed track off the album. The long awaited debut album from Skriblah titled “The Little White Dot” will be available in the immediate future, and to kick off promotion for the release is the brand new video from “Belly of the East”. The video has been produced by none other than Global Faction, and I’ve heard that “The Little White Dot” will feature the likes of Klashnekoff, Ghetto, Devlin and Roll Deep amongst others. Making their Hip-Hop Kings debut are Madhat and King Response, who have featured alongside Klashnekoff for the collaborative video “My Friends Say”. The quick-fire track has been produced by Show N Prove, and the single “My Friends Say” is available on iTunes to download (link above). Madhat is based in Scotland, and has called upon King Response and Klashnekoff for the track that is featured on Madhat’s “Theophilus Carter” album which fans can buy for just £4.49. Following the release of MTV Base’s Top 10 U.K MC’s list, the rap world has discussed and debated as per the intention of the creators. One artist who made the list is revolutionary artist Lowkey, who has the support of the streets and U.K alike. The likes of Klashnekoff and Ghetts didn’t make the list which prompted a response from the pair after a quick interview with The Grime Report. Lowkey has also released a new track titled “Top 1 Selected” through Grime Daily which has proven the multi-talented lyricist can rap over any type of beat. Making an usual introduction to Hip-Hop Kings is rap group Kings of the City, and they’ve teamed up with leading U.K Hip-Hop artist Klashnekoff for their video “Darkness”. Kings of the City are new to me, but I’ll be featuring them on a more regular basis in the future. Klashnekoff makes an appearance and contributes heavily as normal to any featured track. The official video has been credited with over 3000 YouTube views to date, which is of course set to rise in the forthcoming weeks.
