Making their debut on Hip-Hop Kings are Tank and Kimani, collectively known as “The Masterminds” who are a New York based Hip-Hop duo who have instantly grabbed my attention with their latest single “Fight Music”. Masterminds have called upon Murs and Atmosphere (Slug and Ant) for the single, which had the video go live today which is embeded on the Vimeo player below. Masterminds have also announced that their new album “Giant Antlers” has been made available for a “pay-what-you-like” price, however we are encouraging fans to contribute the recommended $8.00 (link above). Live from Rock The Bells 2012, Murs and Fashawn are recorded performing their single “Just Begun” which will be featured on their forthcoming album “This Generation”. Fans will be able to download the new album from the 25th September 2012 from all good digital outlets, and I’ve already posted the single “Slash Gordan” which set the heights for the rest of the album. I previously posted the leaked single from Murs and Fashawn titled “Slash Gordan” which will be featured on “This Generation”, the collaborative album which drops 25th September 2012. We now have the official video for the single which has been directed by Todd Angkasuwan (Evidence You, Random Axe – The Hex etc) which premiered on MTV in America. Duck Down will be releasing “This Generation” and I’ll be posting the pre-order links as soon as they become available. I was informed today that Murs and Fashawn will be teaming up for a collaborative album (that’s right) which will be released on 25th September 2012 titled “This Generation”, and we have the first official leak from the project titled “Slash Gordan”. Evidently a play on words on Flash Gordan, Murs and Fashawn show why their widely regarded as two of the best over the Beatnick and K-Salaam produced-track, who actually produced the entire album. This Generation will be released via Duck Down Music, and of course I’ll post the pre-order link as soon as it’s available. His new single “Until The End” features Nottz (who also produced the track), Raw, P.Jericho and MURS who all contribute significantly in their given areas of expertise. AWAR was featured not so long ago with his Alchemist-produced “Tunnel Vision” track which received great reviews from fans, ahead of his upcoming “Laws of Nature” album which will be ready on 7th August 2012. Over the course of 2011, I shared a lot of music on Hip-Hop Kings which came from PR company “Dunn Deal”. The Los Angeles-based PR firm promoted a number of high profile project from the likes of Murs, Sean Price, Freddie Gibbs, Planet Asia, Moka Only, and more recently the DJ Booth 20/20 series. Dunn Deal have teamed up with DJ Quickie Mart (another client of theirs in 2011) to release a free download to fans in the form of “The Dunn Deal Mixtape V2.012″. Guest featured include all names listed above and many more, and is the companies selection of their favourite tracks over the past three years. As the Hip-Hop world prepares for the release of Love and Rockets Vol.1: The Transformation, Murs presents “The Making of Love and Rockets Episode Five”. An appearance of BluRoc label owner Damon Rash and his roster (Tabi Bonney, McKenzie Eddy, Ski Beatz, Da$h and Sean O’Connell complete the video, ahead of the album release date of October 11th 2011. Also look out for Murs on the “Hip-Hop and Love Tour” starting September 27th in Arizona, and finishing in Tucson on November 26th.
