It was announced on Friday that legendary Hip-Hop duo Mobb Deep have agreed a distribution deal with “Red Distribution” who are a division of Sony, for their imprint Infamous Records. The agreement includes Mobb Deep running the NYC based label, along with Mobb Deep’s forthcoming NINTH studio album amongst others being released through Red Distribution. Bob Morelli (president of Red) was quoted “Mobb Deep is an iconic act, having been on the cutting edge of music and social commentary for years. We are happy and excited to distribute the next chapter in their musical career.” Look out for new news and music coming from Mobb Deep in the forthcoming weeks.
Rapper Evidence of the group Dialated Peoples has announced that on September 26th 2011 he will be releasing his brand new album “Cats and Dogs”. To aid the promotion Hip-Hop Kings has a mini-mix of tracks which has been mixed by legendary DJ Babu (Dialated Peoples). Look out for plenty of other promotion ahead of the Cats and Dogs album, however you can listen to the nine minute DJ Babu mix of Evidence‘s forthcoming Cats and Dogs album on the soundcloud player below.

U.K/German based underground Hip-Hop artist JollyJay has teamed up with Bajka for their latest collaborative single “Virtual”. The track has been produced by Cloud 9, and is a great way to keep JollyJay‘s fans fed with new music. A lot has been happening for JollyJay, and he’ll be celebrating the sucess of “Scattered Colours on the Rubiks Cube” has now sold 1000 copies, so JollyJay is in the process of re-ordering another 1000. JollyJay is working on two upcoming projects, one with production from Doe Diggla which is described as more upbeat/electronic, and the second following the path of his debut release with H-to-0 “Scattered Colours on the Rubika Cube”. The excellent J Rocc has announced a string of European tour dates to support the release of his forthcoming album “Some Cold Rock Stuf” which will be a two-CD, twelve-panel set which also includes a “mystery disc”. J Rocc is signed to the prolific underground Hip-Hop label Stones Throw Records, and is credited with being a long-time DJ for the likes of Madlib, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and the late J Dilla. With over 150,000 youtube views, Slug and Ant are preparing fans for what is to be expected as another classic Atmosphere album. Thanks for speaking to us man. You’re currently in the process of releasing your single “No Hands” which features Roscoe Dash and Wale. How did the collaboration come about?
WFF – I was in a regular studio session with Roscoe Dash and Drummer Boy. Wale had a session at the same studio with Gucci. He came in to introduce himself and I told him I had a song for him. Then the magic began.
Are you surprised that it’s reached the 28 million YouTube views mark which is a big accomplishment?
WFF – I wasn’t surprised it reached 28 million, I was just shocked that it happened so fast!
Was there any specific reason to primarily work with Lex Lugar for the production?
WFF – I wanted to break my new producer. I wanted to introduce him to the world. Next up is Southside.
Who had the idea to create “Brick Squad”?
WFF – Bricksquad came from Gucci
Apart from yourself who do you think is the best artist both lyrically and musically from the group?
WFF – I consider all of my artists and producers on my label Bricksquad Monopoly the best
The group “Desperados” is well known within the Hip Hop world, can you confirm any detail on a forthcoming album or mixtape?

Hip-Hop Kings understands that “I Am” will not be featured on the album, but starts promotion for the release which will be available later in the year. Fans maybe familiar with 40 Dash who won the Anno Domini song contest two years ago, and 40 Dash continues to build his profile as we proceed through 2011.
