Towards the end of 2012, Brown Bag AllStars member Koncept announced he’ll be releasing a brand new E.P titled “Malt Disney” which will be available to fans on February 26th 2013. We have the first leak from the E.P which is the bonus track featuring REKS which is titled “Give It Up” and has also been made available as a free download (link above). The track, along with the Malt Disney E.P has been produced by BBAS’ DeeJay Element, and Koncept‘s UK fans can catch him and J57 touring the U.K in February, check the link above for full dates. You can listen to Koncept ft REKS – Give It Up on the audio player below.
2012 was a highly successful year for REKS, with the aspiring rapper releasing a series of mixtapes, singles and collaborations which quickly boosted his profile in the U.S and U.K. I have the first single “Judas” which is taken from the forthcoming REKS mixtape “Revolution Cocktail” which will be available to download from 22nd January 2013 from iTunes. REKS has called upon Lee Bannon who produced the single, and credits to Gargle Grenades who premiered the single. You can listen to REKS – Judas on the soundcloud player below.
Underground Hip-Hop artist REKS will be performing his first ever show in the U.K on Tuesday 18th December 2012 at Brixton Jamm in London. REKS has been heavily supported by Hip-Hop Kings over the last couple of years, and Biarritz and TeenCreeps are the promoters credited for arranging his first ever U.K performance. Tickets are currently £8.00 and can be purhcased from the links listed above, and fans can also check out the official Facebook Invite Page HERE. You can watch my personal favourite REKS song which is produced by DJ Premier titled “25th Hour” on the video below.
I always pay attention to new music from Audible Doctor, and no difference here with the latest offering which is a remix of REKS‘ single “Bang Bang”. As Hip-Hop Kings fans are aware, REKS released his album “REBELutionary” earlier in 2012, and the Brown Bag AllStars member has worked his magic on the official remix which has been uploaded to his Audio Mack page. Audible Doctor produced one of my favourite remixes of 2011 which was Blacastan’s “Blac Magic” and featured on “2011 – Year of The Audible Doctor Remix” project. You can listen to REKS – Bang Bang (Audible Doctor Remix) on the embeded player below.
