Aesop Rock Get Out of the Car (Video)

Aesop Rock Get Out of the Car (The Impossible Kid)

Aesop Rock Get Out of the Car (The Impossible Kid)

Taken from his latest album “The Impossible Kid”, we have the new Aesop Rock Get Out of the Car video, a touching tribute to Camu Tao.

Aesop Rock spoke in detail about the song which we feel is definitely worth sharing.

“This May 25th marks 9 years since the death of my friend Camu Tao, an event that serves as an emotional and narrative anchor in both this song and my life. I wanted to reflect on things that had changed since, and try to connect some events I hadn’t realized were potentially related.

“I asked my long-time friend and collaborator Coro to create some drawings that would accent parts of the lyrics, and director Rob Shaw was able to guide and weave the video into what it is here.

“Camu was entirely singular as an artist and human. You may notice those who knew him speak of him often still – his presence and humor and imagination and energy and impact. It’s all still right there. I hope some of you that may not be familiar go check out his music. This man was something special.

“Unrelated factoid: This song was originally called “The Impossible Kid,” titled after the line in the song that employs the phrase. I ended up liking the name and moving it up the ladder. I then settled on “Get Out of the Car” borrowed from the last line – which, while a somewhat clunky title, felt like it got to the point nicely.”

Make sure you buy Aesop Rock‘s “The Impossible Kid” from this iTunes link. You can also watch the video to “Get Out of the Car” on the YouTube player below.

Evidence Throw it all Away Single and New Album Info

• April 5, 2017
Evidence Throw it all Away

Evidence Throw it all Away

The time has come to share some new Rhymesayers news. Evidence Throw it all Away is the new single and we also have a confirmed release of a new solo album.

The new Evidence Throw it all Away single has literally just reached out inbox, after a teaser was shared on Social Media last week. Produced by Alchemist, Throw It all Away is the first single from Ev’s upcoming solo album. The official video has been uploaded to the Rhymesayers YouTube page, and has been directed by Stephen Vanasco. We’re expecting the largest of Hip-Hop publications to pick up on this immediately, and Ev will have clear support from fans and critiques in the forthcoming promo campaign.

Throw It All Away is the first solo single from Evidence in years, as he released  the Dilated Peoples album (Directors of Photography) in 2014, and Lord Steppington (collab with Alchemist, as Step Brothers) in the same year.  The last solo album we were treated to was 2011’s Cats and Dogs which had the massive single “You” produced by DJ Premier. Evidence has really set the bar high with the first single. To be fair we really didn’t expect anything less. We will be keeping an eye on the future singles and share them on Hip-Hop Kings.

More info on the new album coming soon. You can watch Evidence Throw it all Away on the YouTube player below.

Brother Ali - Mourning in America, Dreaming in Color

Pre-Order Brother Ali “Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color” | http://bit.ly/NbZfy1

As I reported early May when Brother Ali dropped a video for the single “Not a Day Goes By” news has finally reached the blogosphere that Brother Ali will be releasing his new album Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color on 21st August 2012 via Rhymesayers Entertainment. Brother Ali has been supportive, and has been supported by Hip-Hop Kings for a number of years, and I’m as excited as ever to hear some new material to a man who’s widely regarded as an underground Hip-Hop legend. As always from Rhymesayers, look out for some innovative and exciting promotion leading up to the album release, however in the meantime you can view the official artwork and pre-order link for Brother Ali – Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color above.
