Pre-Order Brother Ali “Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color” | http://bit.ly/NbZfy1
As I reported early May when Brother Ali dropped a video for the single “Not a Day Goes By” news has finally reached the blogosphere that Brother Ali will be releasing his new album Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color on 21st August 2012 via Rhymesayers Entertainment. Brother Ali has been supportive, and has been supported by Hip-Hop Kings for a number of years, and I’m as excited as ever to hear some new material to a man who’s widely regarded as an underground Hip-Hop legend. As always from Rhymesayers, look out for some innovative and exciting promotion leading up to the album release, however in the meantime you can view the official artwork and pre-order link for Brother Ali - Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color above.

One of the best Hip-Hop albums of 2011 was Evidence’s “Cats and Dogs”. Released through Rhymesayers Entertainment, the album was commercially Evidence’s best to date, and the hype surrounding the release was typical of an RSE project. Evidence has now released the video for the single “Falling Down” which has been featured on the biggest of Hip-Hop blogs and websites in the last couple of days. Evidence called upon Todd Angkasuwan for the video (directors credits) and also look out for Babu who makes an appearance in the video. Fans can download Evidence’s “Cats and Dogs” from the link listed above, however you can watch Evidence – Falling Down on the video player below.
Rhymesayers announced today that I Self Divine will be releasing his second studio album “The Sounds of Low Class America” on May 8th 2012, and to support the album, I Self Divine will be releasing four mixtapes (one each month) for free download. Today the first mixtape “LA State of Mind” has become available for fans to download (link above) and the ten track mixtape is the first of “The Culture Series” as we lead up to the album release. Hip-Hop Kings will be promoting the Culture Series and of course the album itself, so you can check the download link above and the official artwork for I Self Divine – LA State of Mind here.

Sunday 16th October 2011 marks the one year anniversary of the death of underground Hip-Hop artist Eyedea. Exactly one year ago today the Hip-Hop world was left shocked and devastated with the untimely death of the Rhymesayers Entertainment artist, and Hip-Hop Kings celebrated the life of Micheal “Eyedea” Larsen with a DJ Critical Hype co-signed mixtape which was given away as a free download. Today I have re-uploaded the mixtape with the view to share Eyedea’s music to the world, which I hope is a fantastic tribute to his life and music career. If you’re a fan of Eyedea, DJ Abilities or Rhymesayers please share this with as many people as possible, and you can view the artwork and download link for DJ Critical Hype and Hip-Hop Kings Present the Eyedea Tribute Mixtape here.

Evidence new album ‘Cats & Dogs’ is out on Rhymesayers Entertainment and to celebrate the album and the Rhymesayers European Tour hitting London on November 7th, Hip Hop Kings has two Evidence t-shirts up for grabs.
‘Cats & Dogs’ is an album of brutal honesty as Evidence opens up to the world like never before while maintaining his respected signature sound with the deadpan delivery and incomparable gravitas that earned him the title “Mr. Slow Flow.” His skills and distinctive style are complemented by an all-star cast of friends and collaborators including Wu Tang’s Raekwon, Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, Dilated Peoples cohort Rakaa, Slug of Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Ras Kass, Roc Marciano, Krondon, Lil Fame of M.O.P., Termanology and recent UK chart-topper Aloe Blacc.
While best-known as a wordsmith, Evidence is no slouch behind the boards either. He was awarded a Grammy for his work on Kanye West’s ‘College Dropout’, and he showcases his abilities on several tracks here alongside work from legendary Hip Hop producer DJ Premier, longtime collaborators The Alchemist (Eminem, Lil Wayne & more) and Sid Roams and up-and-comers Twiz the Beat Pro, Rahki and Charli Brown.
To be in with a chance of winning one of these t-shirts name the legendary Hip-Hop crew that Evidence is in. Drop a comment with your email address, or send the details to the following.
As Evidence prepares to release his forthcoming album “Cats and Dogs” through Rhymesayers Entertainment, we have the brand new video for the single “You” (produced by DJ Premier) which is already approaching half a million views on youtube. The video is available for purchase on iTunes, and fans can pre-order the album via the link listed above. Look out for a Hip-Hop Kings review of Evidence‘s “Cats and Dogs” album in the forthcoming weeks, however you can watch Evidence – You on the video player below.

First and foremost Merry Christmas to all the Hip-Hop Kings readers and supporters. I’ve decided to post my favourite Hip-Hop Christmas song which is by Atmosphere, and is called “If I Was Santa”. In true Slug and Ant style, Atmosphere deliver a very topical and lyric-conscious track which is one of my favourites from them. You can view some related Rhymesayers links below, including an Atmosphere shoutout to Hip-Hop Kings, along with Rhymesayers artist Brother Ali speaking to me exclusively for the blog. You can also listen to Atmosphere – If I Was Santa on the audio player below.
