Termanology has once again proved he is a major player in the Hip-Hop world by collaborating with some of the most lyrically recognised artists in the genre, and in most cases either outshining or matching them on tracks. About Saigon from Wikipedia.
Brian Daniel Carenard, better known by his stage name Saigon, is an American rapper and occasional actor.
Saigon is currently signed to Suburban Noize Records and Just Blaze’s Fort Knocks Entertainment record label. After much delay, his album The Greatest Story Never Told’ is available now on Suburban Noize Records. He is also known for his street album “Warning Shots” and appearances in the HBO television series Entourage.Saigon - Down The Road
Well well well, we finally have it. After years of waiting Saigon‘s long awaited album has been released. If you’ve never heard of him, I wouldn’t be surprised, his buzz was big back around 2003/2004 at the same time as Papoose, when both were basically thought of as part of the new wave of NYC rappers. Neither put out an album until now, with Papoose slowly fading into total obscurity.
The album had considerable problems since around 2007 when it was originally due to be released, but sample clearances were blamed as well as Atlantic wanting a more pop/chart dominated hip hop album. Since then Saigon has left the label whilst owning the full album to release it via Suburban Noize Records.
If there was such as thing as a musical orgasm, I think the following comes pretty close. Doc Ish is the man behind the production credits for Eminem’s single “We Made You”, and has now announced he plans to release “Doc Ish Presents – The First Treatment” which will be available on 11th May 2010. The first leak from the album features Saigon, Inspectah Deck, Ransom and Quan (remember him) and the track is called “Cut My Throat”. You can listen to Doc Ish x Saigon x Inspectah Deck x Ransom x Quan – Cut My Throat on the player below.
The Doctor’s Orders present Statik Selektah and Saigon who will be performing live with DJ Snips on Thursday 4th March 2010. The host will be Madame Jo Jo’s which is located in Soho, London. Tickets will be available from £8.00 from advance and £12.00 on the door. Saigon and Statik Selektah have both received huge responses during their time in the U.K in previous years, and this years show in London offers no be no different.
