REKS is back with a new single “Chasin” which has been produced by Statik Selektah, and is the first leak ahead of his forthcoming album “Straight, No Chaser”. Confirmed guest appearances on the album include Action Bronson and Termanology amongst others, and Straight, No Chaser has been produced entirely by Statik Selektah. Termanology Interview [Exclusive]
Here is an exclusive Hip-Hop Kings interview with the legend that is Termanology. I managed to speak with Termanology during his visit to the U.K with AZ, the morning after they performed in London. I ask Termanology about the upcoming album 1982 with Statik Selektah, and the importance of him touring for his International fans. We also speak about Termanology‘s mixtape series, and the work he did on the J Dilla tribute mixtape “Heaven Is A Mile Away” where he featured on the song “Pay Day”. As we continue to prepare for the release of Statik Selektah and Termanology‘s collaborative album “1982″, here is the video for the single “Still Waiting”. 1982 will be available from October 26th, and the video for Still Waiting features cameos from Lil Fame of M.O.P and ST.Da Squad, and directors credits are given to Jon Wolf. Hip Hop Chronicle Interview with Statik Selektah [Video]
The Hip Hop Chronicle has interviewed Statik Selektah during his time in the U.K for an exclusive chat about the DJ’s career. Quizzed about his “Thrill Is Gone” track, Statik Selektah revealed that Kanye West had a song on that beat for the 808′s Heartbreak album, however it was finally snapped up by Styles, who advised only Talib and Bun B should rap over the beat. Saigon x Statik Selektah Live In London [News]
The Doctor’s Orders present Statik Selektah and Saigon who will be performing live with DJ Snips on Thursday 4th March 2010. The host will be Madame Jo Jo’s which is located in Soho, London. Tickets will be available from £8.00 from advance and £12.00 on the door. Saigon and Statik Selektah have both received huge responses during their time in the U.K in previous years, and this years show in London offers no be no different.
