West Yorkshire based Hip-Hop group Verbal Contact present their latest video to the single “Set The Mood” with visuals credited to Paul Cockcroft. The likes of Matter and Prys tear apart the Sonar Cousin produced track, which is the groups latest offering following the news that Verbal Contact will be releasing their upcoming album “Blue in the Face” through DTTS (Don’t Talk to Strangers). No release date is confirmed for Blue In The Face, however Hip-Hop Kings will be following the progress of the album as it develops. Lewis Parker x John Robinson Live in Leeds [News]
The Elbow Room in Leeds is the home to many Hip-Hop nights, previously including the Chief Wigz album launch amongst others. On the 14th August the city of Leeds will be blessed with the presence of Lewis Parker and John Robinson for a live show with tickets for just £5. Support on the evening will come from J Bravo / Brutal Artistry / Verbal Contact / DJ Prolific / Kockee K and others. Golden Mic UK 2010 Winner – Matter [News]
The Golden Mic UK battle tournament crowned highly skilled lyricist Matter as the champion of 2010. Fighting off competiton from the likes of Tongue-Tied, Sage and Jimmy Crackstar, Matter has now walked away with a gold plated Shure SM58 microphone and a host of other prizes including a festival appearance. The Golden Mic battle tournament saw eight competitors battle over three heats, and the Leeds-based event also attracted big names including Mystro and Asaviour. Matter is a member of U.K Hip-Hop outfit Verbal Contact, who along with Chenai have released a track called Tourist Information which you can listen to below.
