WFF – I was in a regular studio session with Roscoe Dash and Drummer Boy. Wale had a session at the same studio with Gucci. He came in to introduce himself and I told him I had a song for him. Then the magic began.
Are you surprised that it’s reached the 28 million YouTube views mark which is a big accomplishment?

I’ve followed Wale for a couple of years and to see the artist rise from an underground talent to a household name, Waka Flocka Flame has teamed up with the DC-based rapper and Roscoe Dash for their new video “No Hands”. It’s fair to say that Wale outshines the contraversal Waka Flocka Flame, who recently had his tour bus shot up which made headline news. The club track has been supported with a video, which has an incredible 25 million YouTube views to date. You can watch the video from Waka Flocka Flame ft Wale and Roscoe Dash – No Hands on the video player below.
There’s quite a lot to say about this blog post, for one it’s not typical but I’d really like some feedback. AWOLNATION will be releasing their upcoming E.P “Back From Earth” on November 8th, and to celebrate the project have released a single titled “Guilty Filthy Soul”. AWOLNATION have called upon Samantha Ronson (sister of Mark Ronson) for the remix which features underground rapper Wale. Mark Ronson has previously produced for Wale for his song with Daniel Merriweather “Change”, so the duo aren’t strangers to each others music. You can listen to AWOLNATION x Wale – Guilty Filthy Soul (Samantha Ronson Remix) below.
Sumit from The Hip Hop Chronicle is a man well known for the latest interviews, and has caught up with Wale during his trip to the U.K. Wale is asked about his new album, which he remains very tight-lipped about. Sumit also asks Wale to break down some lyrics, and asks which female celebrities are classed as “Pretty Girls”. At the end of the interview, Sumit posts some footage of Wale performing “Chillin” at London’s Jazz Cafe. You can watch the Wale interview with The Hip Hop Chronicle on the video player below.
Underground Hip-Hop artist Wale presents a new video, where he speaks about the devastating situation in Haiti. Wale is also quizzed on the Charles Hamilton situation and his thoughts on what’s to come in 2010. Kudos to 25 Magazine who caught up with the Washington-based rapper, after his performance at the Haiti benefit concert at Howard University. You can watch the Wale video on the link below.
Wale’s single Pretty Girls has been a massive hit for the Interscope artist, and the remix featuring SoulStice and Akshan is making it’s way around the Internet. The Wale-endorsed single has been produced by Arsonal, and features vocals from SoulStice, who traditionally is a Chicago-based artist, but has lived in Maryland for the past seven years. You can listen to the Wale x SoulStice x Akshan remix of “Pretty Girls” on the player below.
